Many commercial and institutional facilities have traditionally utilized flat roofs because they have been a cost effective solution for covering extremely large areas. Unfortunately, flat roofs also have a great tendency to leak. Water trapped on a flat surface causes sagging and can lead to permeation of the water through the roof, resulting in saturation of the building’s insulation, damage to contents, and air quality concerns.
To solve these problems, A-Lert Roofing Systems has designed a lightweight, pre-engineered sloped framing system for both retrofitting existing roofs or incorporating into the design of new construction. The system attaches directly to the existing roof or its supporting structure (in the case of new construction) to create the desired slope and provides a durable, low maintenance solution.

Standing seam metal roofs offer one of the lowest cost roofing solutions due to their low maintenance and long life.
Excellent resistance to all forms or weather is one of the primary advantages of A-Lert standing seam metal roofs. The sloped framing eliminates ponding water, reducing the potential of structural collapse. All custom cut roof panels interlock and are crimped together with a mechanical seamer to provide a weather-tight seal.

The main environmental benefit of the A-Lert standing seam roofing system is that it attaches directly to the existing roof. There is no need to remove the existing roof and clutter landfills with the original materials, saving both money and construction time.
The A-Lert standing seam roof system retrofits directly to the existing roof.
The A-Lert standing seam roof system utilizes recyclable steel components with every design.
Our systems are also environmentally friendly due to their energy efficiency. Not only can the building continue to utilize its existing insulation, but new insulation can be easily added between the old and new roofs.

Stand)ng seam metal roofs have been expanding from their industrial roots to become more of an architectural statement over the past few years. Standing seam metal roofing is typically not the least expensive roofing system to install, but when one considers the periodic maintenance, repairs, and shorter life expectancy of traditional flat roofs, the costs advantages of standing seam metal roofs are obvious.
A-Lert Roofing Systems further improves on these cost advantages with its jobsite manufacturing process. Onsite roll forming reduces the investment in materials by cutting out middlemen and the related freight costs associated with buying traditional panels. It also allows for a much greater level of quality and control as the panels can be cut to the exact length and fit together without horizontal lap joints.

According to the EPA, "Concern about indoor exposure to mold has been increasing as the public becomes aware that exposure to mold can cause a variety of health effects and symptoms, including allergic reactions." Not only does this lead to an increase in health problems, but it also creates potential liability issues for building managers and school boards.
Mold can be caused by a variety of sources in buildings but it is always associated with the presence of moisture in the environment. One of the most common sources of this moisture is leaky roofs often related to delayed or insufficient maintenance.

The A-Lert roof system has been tested and certified to exceed the UL-90 and ASTM 1592 requirements. Our manufacturing machines are tested bi-annually and certified by Underwriters Laboratories to ensure continual compliance. The American Society for Testing and Materials certification involves meeting pounds per square inch static air pressure requirements. Many insurance companies give premium discounts for a UL-90 certified roof.

A-Lert custom fabricates each roofing project in order to ensure quality. Continuous roof panels, roll formed at the jobsite, eliminate lap joints, and the associated leak potential. The roof panels are attached to the framing system with floating clips which accommodate the normal expansion and contraction of the metal panels. The clips are concealed when the interlocking roof panels have been mechanically seamed together. Sealant applied to the panel ribs provides a further barrier against water penetration.
