Overview:
Accuride is the world’s largest manufacturer of ball bearing slides used in applications such as office furniture, residential furniture, store fixtures, medical equipment, ATM’s, cash drawers, copy machines, toolboxes, appliances, and electronic racks. Headquarters are in the United States with additional manufacturing and sales facilities located in the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, China, and Mexico.
By consistently producing slides of the highest quality, Accuride has become known as the industry benchmark for smoothness, silence, and strength. Our range of full extension and specialty products is the largest available, with lengths from 6 to 60 inches and load ratings up to 500 pounds.
With one of the largest test labs in the industry, Accuride ensures that products meet, or exceed the ANSI standards as established by BIFMA, KCMA, or BHMA. Products certified by BHMA include: Eclipse Undermount, 3832 Self-Closing, 7434, 3640, and 9301. All zinc and EW (Electrocoat white) products manufactured in our Mexicali, Mexico plant are RoHs compliant. In addition, all grease, and rubber and plastic components are compliant.
The user starts the opening and closing action and the slide does the rest. When the drawer is opened, at about the mid-point of travel the assisting forces balance, resulting in a neutral zone where the drawer remains in a steady position. Once the drawer is further extended to about two-thirds of its travel, the slide finishes the opening process. Conversely, as the drawer is pushed inward past the neutral zone, the Action-Assist™ kicks in and pulls the drawer closed.
