Overview:
Cambridge Architectural is the only domestic manufacturer of engineered architectural metal fabric systems. To properly design with and specify a Cambridge Architectural system, you must: first, identify your application; second, select attachment hardware; and third, specify a metal fabric pattern. Systems include: Parkade, LandscapeInteriors, Solucent, MeshFX, MeshDefense and Meshellaneous.
Specifying a System
To view and download metal fabric pattern and attachment hardware data sheets and to request written specifications visit www.cambridgearchitectural.com and go to the mesh and attachment gallery, or downloads section.
Cambridge Architectural's engineering department can assist with installation details, framing design, and load characteristics, and is also available for on-site installation supervision.
Since 1917, metal fabrics have been designed, engineered, and fabricated in Cambridge, Maryland. Prior to 2001, these metal fabrics were primarily used for industrial applications. In 2001, Cambridge Architectural was created, as demand for architectural mesh began to skyrocket.

The Green Team develops and promotes architectural mesh façade systems than can meet the most current credit requirements of LEED-NC (Version 2.1) Green Building and Sustainable Design Rating System. Since many credit categories require integration with other products, our green team provides consultation and direction on a project-by-project basis to maximize LEED credits.
Cambridge encourages you to think of new and inventive ways to use mesh – they will work with you to create applications that influence the future of architecture.
Eclipse is tension attachment hardware providing tailored edges for expanses of flexible metal fabric. Custom cut apertures receive the metal fabric ends in tubing that is integrated into a bracket and structural support design.
Compatible metal fabric patterns: Balance, Cubist, Mid-Balance. Scale, Shade, Stripe
Railflex tension attachment hardware is specifically designed for handrail systems. The ends of flexible metal fabric panels are concealed in handrail tubing, allowing for a seamless transition from rail to flexible mesh. Custom-cut apertures receive the metal fabric in the handrail tubing which is integrated into a bracket and structural support design.
Scroll is tension attachment hardware that keeps the focus on the metal fabric by hiding the attachment behind it. Scroll conceals the bracket that attaches to the structural support.
Compatible metal fabric patterns: Balance, Cubist, Mid-Balance, Scale, Shade, Stripe
Curtain attachment hardware attaches flexible metal fabric to concealed hooks and permits it to roll smoothly along the track length as a window treatment or draping space divider. Compatible metal fabric patterns: Mid-Balance, Shade, Slink, Tailor
Talon is tension attachment hardware for cable/rod metal fabric patterns. Talon grips a reinforced rod at the top and bottom edges.
Compatible metal fabric patterns: Braid, Matte, Rope
Velocity attachment hardware is engineered specifically for coastal areas that are subject to hurricane force winds. The patented attachment is designed to re-tension the metal fabric automatically after high wind conditions have passed.
Compatible metal fabric patterns: Balance, Braid, Cubist, Mid-Balance, Scale
Brace is tension attachment hardware for flexible hinged metal fabrics. Brackets at the top and bottom edges hook the metal fabric via custom folds and easily attach to structural supports.
Compatible metal fabric pattern: Strand
Reelease attachment hardware provides the ability to lower or raise metal fabric with the touch of a button. A concealed overhead-mounted motorized reel both releases the metal fabric downward and retracts it upward for concealed storage.
Compatible metal fabric patterns: Mid-Balance, Scale, Shade, Slink
Panel attachment hardware is made by attaching closed metal fabric to a substrate such as Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF). Z-clips join panels to the substructure.
Compatible metal fabric patterns: Channel, Circuit, Plaza, Stipple, Tidal
Tableau attachment hardware folds metal fabric around the corners of an angle frame for an elegant concealed attachment.
Compatible metal fabric patterns: Bead, Graph, Grid, Plank, Ridge
With U Frame attachment hardware, metal fabric is tack welded to a u-binding frame with mitered corners that are welded and ground smooth for a polished finish.
Compatible metal fabric patterns: Bead, Graph, Grid, Plank, Ridge
Cambridge Architectural maintains a fully staffed engineering department to assist clients with installation details, framing design, load characteristics and other factors associated with Cambridge Architectural systems.
