Roller Applied Air & Vapor Barriers - Barriseal-R

Barriseal-R is a water-based asphalt emulsion modified with a blend of synthetic polymers and special additives. Barriseal-R is formulated to a thick consistency, so it will hang easily on vertical surfaces at high thickness. Barriseal-R is often used as an accessory product in the Barriseal-S spray-applied air & vapor barrier system. Barriseal-R can also be used as the principle membrane, and by itself performs as an air barrier, vapor barrier and waterproof membrane. Barriseal-R is applied by roller or brush, to achieve a nominal 0.040" (40-mil) dry film thickness. Barriseal-R can be applied over concrete block, concrete, exterior gypsum sheathing, foam insulation board, plywood, OSB and many other common building materials. The product is fully adhered to the substrate, flexible and rubber-like. The high film thickness and flexible, elastic properties enable Barriseal-R to bridge cracks and seal around penetrations, which creates a truly continuous, monolithic air, vapor and water barrier.

Barriseal-S is a water-based asphalt emulsion modified with a blend of synthetic polymers and special additives. Barriseal-S is dispensed in tandem with Barricure, a non-corrosive, chloride-free deliquescent salt solution. Barriseal-S and Barricure are applied through approved co-spray equipment to achieve a nominal 0.040-inch (40 mils) dry film thickness. Barriseal-S can be applied over concrete block, concrete, exterior gypsum sheathing, foam insulation board, plywood, OSB and many other common building materials. The product is fully adhered to the substrate, flexible and rubber-like. The high film thickness and flexible, elastic properties enable Barriseal-S to bridge cracks and seal around penetrations, which creates a truly continuous, monolithic air, vapor and water barrier.

Fire Resist Air & Vapor Barriers - Fire Resist 705FR-A

Fire Resist 705FR-A Air & Vapor Barrier is a 40-mil-thick (0.040 inch) self-adhered sheet air and vapor barrier composite membrane consisting of a rubberized-asphalt adhesive laminated to fire resistant aluminum foil/HDPE composite facer. In addition to being tough and dimensionally stable, the facer provides heat reflectivity and fire resistance. Fire Resist 705FR-A is provided in rolls of various widths lined with disposable silicone-coated release paper. The release paper is removed to expose the adhesive as the membrane is pressed in place. Fire Resist 705FR-A provides a complete barrier to moisture and air when adhered to an above-grade substrate. Cut sizes are also useful for other above-grade wall flashing applications. Fire Resist 705FR-A is cold applied and will adhere firmly when pressed against the substrate.

MiraSEAL is a 100%-solids, fluid-applied, single-component, moisture-reacted, elastomeric, coal-tar and solvent-free, modified polymer that cures to form a flexible, monolithic, waterproof membrane on vertical and horizontal surfaces. Due to the moisture-reactive and non-gassing properties of the membrane, it provides tenacious adhesion to concrete substrates above- and below-grade, preventing lateral water migration, even with moisture present in the concrete. The inherent toughness and resilience of MiraSEAL enables it to bridge structural or shrinkage cracks that may develop in the substrate. MiraSEAL can be applied wet on wet in a horizontal application resulting in reduced installation time.

Standard & FR EPDM Membranes - SURE-SEAL® EPDM

High Performance Rigid Insulation - R-Tech VII

R-Tech VII is an engineered rigid insulation developed to be an alternative equal in applications where Type VII extruded polystyrene (XPS) is specifi ed. R-Tech VII consists of a superior closed-cell, lightweight and resilient expanded polystyrene (EPS) with advanced polymeric laminate facers. The core of R-Tech VII is the same high-quality EPS as our InsulWall insulations and meets or exceeds the compressive strength, fl exural strength, dimensional stability and water absorption requirements of ASTM C578, Type VII, Standard Specifi cation for Rigid, Cellular Polystyrene Thermal Insulation. R-Tech VII is available with factory laminated metallic-refl ective facers, white facers or a combination of the two. In addition, R-Tech VII offers a long-term stable R-value, is an energy-saving insulation, and can contribute toward LEED credits.
