If our name sounds familiar, it is because our company has a long and varied history in the aircraft hangar and hangar door business. We are the original developer of the Electric Bi-Fold Door System and are known throughout the general aviation industry for our high-quality, state-of-the-art products and superior services.
From our corporate headquarters in Harvard, Illinois, we design and fabricate general aviation facilities for the smallest single-engine aircraft to large corporate facilities for business jets.
By the numbers alone, we have years experience in the business and an estimated 16,000 hangar units in operation in all 50 states and some Canadian provinces.

T-Hangars

Erect-A-Tube, Inc. offers six different models of Nested T-hangars that are exclusively designed to provide long, dependable life. However, the most popular models are our Model N51-42 and Model N54-42. Since the majority of the General Aviation Market is single-engine aircraft and light twin-engine aircraft, these two models comfortably house these classes of aircraft.

Standard Tee Hangars are sometimes called "Stacked" because the hangar structure is narrower and longer than the nested style. The unit depth is equal to the building width and the units are stacked together. The crucial dimension on any t-hangar is the wing depth. The wing depth on a Standard Tee hangar is the tail depth on the adjacent unit. (i.e. Erect-A-Tube's model S36-42 has a minimum wing depth of 18'0" creating a unit depth of 36'0"). Therefore, the Standard Tee Hangar design offers 5% additional storage space than its nested counterpart.

Rectangular Hangars

Erect-A-Tube’s individual Rectangular hangars are built to meet certain aircraft size requirements. For example, the RG33-42 is designed for single engine/ light twin aircraft whereas the RG41-45 houses intermediate cabin class twins. The RG62-65 is designed to accommodate the Beechcraft King Air 200 and small corporate business jets.

Erect-A-Tube offers options such as jet pods and rectangular units as well as a complete line of individual hangars sized from single/light twin size up to multi-place units for FBOs and corporate aviation departments. And as always, our electric Bi-Fold, Door Systems and Bottom-Rolling Doors are the answer to aircraft hangar openings.

Erect-A-Tube's pre-engineered Endwall Door System is designed to replace Builder's end frame. Each system is custom fabricated from building manufacturer's engineering data. Doors are strongly supported for smooth, trouble-free operation. The Endwall System is a sure, fast, easy and low cost way to finish a customer pleasing hangar. Complete system includes endwall girts and wind bracing. All you supply is the sheeting. Accommodates door sizes up to 80' x 20'.

Erect-A-Tube's Self Framing System includes header and jambs for the bi-fold door. The shop-welded, open webbed structural steel bar joist easily supports the door system. This door system is designed to be installed inside Builder's framed opening. Accommodates door sizes up to 80' x 20' clear.

Erect-A-Tube's Self-Contained Door System is designed to be mounted directly to buildings where proper header exists. The direct drive worm gear operator located on the door has been designed for easy installation and maintenance. Accommodates door sizes up to 60' x 18' clear.
