Overview: Heliodyne is a leading U.S. manufacturer of solar water heating equipment.
Our offices and manufacturing plant are located in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. We manufacture and assemble a variety of solar water heating products. They encompasses not only flat plate collectors, but heat transfer appliances as well. All of our collectors and heat transfer appliances are SRCC certified, ensuring that our products are built to the highest standards.
The equipment we manufacture is suitable for all applications including residential, commercial, and industrial purposes.
The Heliodyne Cool Climate Packaged System is designed to operate in all regions, especially where hard water or freezing is an issue. In this closed loop design, a special heat transfer fluid circulates through the collectors instead of water, allowing greater durability and trouble-free operation.
The Heliodyne Warm Climate packaged system is an excellent choice for regions where freezing or water quality is not a major concern. In this open loop design, water is circulated directly from the solar collectors to the storage tank. Our warm climate packages are built efficiently and economically, offering you an affordable alternative when it comes to solar water heating.
Water and space heating combination systems provide the greatest efficiency maximizing the most from the sun. With the combined approach, any heat not used for hot water consumption is automatically diverted for space heating.
Solar pool heating is the most economical method to heat your pool and extend the swim season. The versatile design of our pool system allows it to be installed in any region for indoor and outdoor use. Because we use a closed loop design, the system offers you the highest amount of durability and longevity.
The GOBI line of solar flat-plate collectors is one of the industry’s highest-rated collectors. Over 30 years of design and engineering refinement have gone into making it a world class performer for heat output, efficiency, and durability. The collector is available in 3 sizes, with 2 surface types to choose from (blue sputtered, and black paint), making it versatile and suitable for all types of solar heating applications.
The GOBI collector is available in 3 sizes (4’ X 6’, 4’ X 8’, 4’ X 10’) to accommodate various system loads, as well as mounting-space limitations.
Absorber Surfaces:
Two absorber surface types (blue sputtered and black paint) are available depending on which geographic region you plan to install the system. We recommend the blue sputtered collector for most regions. The black paint collectors should only be used in ideal climates (such as Hawaii.)
Collector mounting is now a simple, trouble-free experience thanks to the pre-configured mounting hardware packages. Each package includes all necessary hardware component kits, along with simple-to-follow instructions to ensure proper installation. The packages range in size & type to accommodate either flush- or rack-mount arrays from 1 to 8 collectors.
The Helio-Pak (HPAK) is an all-in-one heat-transfer assembly, specifically designed to simplify solar hot water systems and provide maximum heat transfer that is sixteen times faster than other heat transfer appliance on the market. The HPAK comes factory assembled and wired with all necessary components, making installation a trouble-free experience. Because the HPAK utilizes an external heat exchanger, it can often be adapted to the pre-existing hot water tank, reducing costs.
The Helio-Pak Pro (with pre-installed Delta-T Pro controller and Wi-Fi capabilities) further enhances the residential solar hot water system, with the addition of user-friendly customizable settings, remote navigation, and expanded system performance data.
The Helio-Flo is a heat-transfer appliance designed specifically for open loop active systems, with easy installation in mind, and heats sixteen times faster than any other heat transfer appliances on the market. It comes assembled with pump, Delta-T controller, two sensors, and two temperature gauges, for easy integration into any open loop solar hot water system.
The hot water module guarantees you a constant supply of fresh hot water by means of a temperature regulation system, which avoids any delays or temperature fluctuations.
Heliodyne tanks have been specifically designed for use with SHW systems. Design features such as built-in sensor ports and solar in/out connections minimize installation time and optimize performance, compared to using traditional off-the-shelf water heaters.
The Power Direct-Vent Gas Heater by Bock® compliments any solar hot water system. When there is insufficient solar energy to be collected, a backup gas burner is activated to provide auxiliary heating.
Specifically designed to regulate the operation of a solar heating system, the Delta-T monitors collector and storage temperatures and automatically turns pumps on or off when the right temperature is reached. The controller can also provide additional functions, such as system freeze protection by recirculation and storage tank high-limit shut-off.
The control unit is what monitors the solar hot water system. It senses when there is solar energy to be collected and automatically activates the circulation system. We offer 2 types of control units. The standard Delta-T, and the advanced Delta-T Pro. Learn more about what these controllers have to offer and which one may be best suited for you.
