COMPANY OVERVIEW

Gyp-Crete® was only the beginning…

Maxxon®, The Floor Specialists, is recognized as the pioneer and leader in floor technologies. From the original Gyp-Crete® Floor Underlayment, Maxxon’s comprehensive product line has expanded to include gypsum and self-leveling underlayments, sound control mats, and several other specialty products including moisture mitigation solutions and a low density deep fill.

Ideal for renovation, commercial, multifamily, or single-family applications, Maxxon can solve any floor challenge. Maxxon Underlayments can be installed in wood frame, concrete construction, or over corrugated steel deck in steel frame construction.

Maxxon gypsum underlayments, Level-Right, and Acousti-Mat Sound Control Mats are GREENGUARD Gold Certified. Maxxon products offer the complete package with fast installation, proven performance, and may also help contribute toward points for LEED® project certification.

New Product Highlights:

Maxxon now offers a high performance line of sound control mats with the Acousti-Mat® HP Series. These mats provide upgraded impact sound control without increasing the overall floor height.

Level-Right® Maxx is Maxxon’s new high-strength, Portland cement-based self-leveling underlayment repairing interior concrete. This moisture tolerant, self-drying underlayment can be installed during early stages of construction and floor goods can be installed 16 to 24 hours after the pour. Level-Right Maxx may also be used as a wear surface when sealed with a Maxxon-approved sealer.

There is a new option for deep fill applications where system weight is a consideration. Level-Right® LDF is a revolutionary, lightweight product made from Portland cement and a proprietary expanded polystyrene foam aggregate. The aerated foam aggregate gives the cement a range of unique properties, making it perfect for deep fill applications.

Gypsum Underlayment - Therma-Floor®

Therma-Floor® is a gypsum underlayment designed to pour over hot water tubes or electric heating cables. It acts as the thermal mass for any radiant floor system. Therma-Floor encases the tubes or cables in crack resistant, noncombustible gypsum. Its special formula resists breakdown to 150°F (66°C). And because it's poured only 1-1/4" (32 mm) thick, the heating system is more responsive and more comfortable.

Gypsum Underlayment - Dura-Cap®

To smooth concrete slabs, precast planks, or steel deck use Dura-Cap®. It's formulated to cap rough, pitted, cracked and out-of-level concrete. In renovation projects, it can be poured directly over old tile and adhesive residue. Dura-Cap can also be used over vinyl asbestos tile. Consult your Maxxon dealer for more details on this safe and extremely cost-effective method of abatement.
Gypsum Underlayment image

Gypsum Underlayment - Commercial Topping®

Fast drying Commercial Topping® pours from a featheredge to 3" (76 mm) in new construction or renovation projects. With compressive strengths of 4,000 psi (27.4 MPa) to 4,500 psi (31 MPa), it's the ideal underlayment to meet ASTM F 710, Preparing Concrete to Receive Resilient Flooring. It pours over VAT, VCT, terazzo or ceramic, with no shotblasting required. For the ultimate strong, smooth finish over concrete, precast, steel deck, wood frame, and old cracked lightweight concrete, specify Commercial Topping.

Sound Control Membrane System image

Sound Control Membrane System - Acousti-Mat® I

Acousti-Mat® I is your economical, low-profile choice when looking for a high-quality sound control mat needing only a 3/4" Maxxon Underlayments pour depth. Acousti-Mat I helps meet both of the IBC's UL fire rating AND sound rating requirements. It is listed in over 100 UL fire designs, while also increasing IIC levels by up to 10 points over wood frame and 20 points over concrete. Acousti-Mat I is GREENGUARD Gold Certified and is always manufactured with 40% pre-consumer recycled content.
Sound Control Membrane System image

Sound Control Membrane System - Acousti-Mat® II

The industry standard, Acousti-Mat® II is the cost-effective solution to "noise" complaints, even with ceramic and wood floors. Its core of fused entangled filaments, attached to a non-woven fabric, creates a void area between the subfloor and a high-strength Maxxon® Underlayment.
Sound Control Membrane System image

Sound Control Membrane System - Acousti-Mat® II HP

A breakthrough in sound control, Acousti-Mat® II HP takes the proven sound reduction of Acousti-Mat's floating floor technology and adds an additional layer of noise control. An acoustical fabric is laminated to the bottom of Acousti-Mat's core of fused entangled polymeric filaments, attached to a non-woven, water-resistant fabric, and then topped with a high-strength Maxxon Underlayment.
Sound Control Mat System image

Sound Control Mat System - Enkasonic®

Enkasonic® creates sound-rated floors with the high IIC and STC level required by IBC 2009 and FHA for luxury developments. It is a durable and proven solution - the only mat that has been tested after 10 years of use. (Enkasonic retained 97% of original thickness, was as pliable as a new roll, and performed equally to a newly manufactured roll.) It increases IIC levels up to 12 points over wood frame, and up to 20 points over concrete. It also increases the STC rating 6-15 points over a bare wood frame system.
Sound Control Mat System image

Sound Control Mat System - Enkasonic® HP

The original sound control mat just got better. Enkasonic® HP provides added impact noise control with an added layer of high performance acoustical fabric. The HP layer is laminated to the bottom of a core of fused entangled polymeric filaments, which is attached to a non-woven, water resistant fabric. To complete the Maxxon engineered sound control system, Enkasonic HP is topped with a high-strength Maxxon Underlayment.
Sound Control Membrane System image

Sound Control Membrane System - Acousti-Mat 3

Acousti-Mat® 3 is the sound deadening solution for floor systems that have been impossible to control! Now you can put an end to those "noise" complaints - even with open beam, concrete slab and conventional wood frame systems.

Acousti-Mat 3 consists of fused, entangled filaments attached to a non-woven fabric, similar to Maxxon's Acousti-Mat II, only three times thicker. It's a proven fact that the larger the air space, the greater the sound control - and this system creates the largest air void of any sound control mat. Acousti-Mat 3 increases IIC levels up to 17 points over wood frame, and up to 25 rating points (or more) over concrete. It also increases the STC rating 6-15 points over a bare wood frame system.

Acousti-Mat 3 is now always "Green" with 40% pre-consumer recycled content. It also has water resistant fabric.
Sound Control Membrane System image

Sound Control Membrane System - Acousti-Mat® 3 HP

For challenging floors, like those found in warehouse-to-multifamily conversion projects, only the best will do. Acousti-Mat® 3 HP delivers top quality noise reduction by combining the proven sound reduction of Acousti-Mat's floating floor technology with an added layer of isolation. The HP layer of acoustical fabric is laminated to the bottom of a core of fused entangled filaments, which is attached to a non-woven, water-resistant fabric. Acousti-Mat 3 HP is then topped with a high-strength Maxxon Underlayment.
