Overview: PRESTO GEOSYSTEMS partners with architects and engineers to offer a full range of solutions for creating long-lasting porous pavements and solving challenging soil stability problems. The Geoblock® turf protection and GeoPave® stabilized aggregate systems provide durable, low-maintenance options to manage stormwater on site. The Geoweb® system delivers benefits in diverse environmental design applications including permeable pavements, slope, channel and shoreline protection, vegetated retaining walls and surface protection applications. The GeoRunner® and GeoTerra® systems are strong, yet light-weight mats ideal for site access at less cost than traditional mats. Presto offers complimentary project evaluation service.
The GEOBLOCK® porous pavement system offers an eco-friendly and aesthetic green solution to protecting turf from vehicular or pedestrian traffic. The permeable system reduces storm water runoff and maximizes ground water replenishment. Ideally suited for occasional traffic areas where the natural beauty of sustainable vegetation and permeability of topsoil are desired: Two sizes available to most economically handle loading requirements. Applications: Emergency and utility access lanes, overflow parking, golf cart paths, ATV and walking trails, and other high use applications. ISO 9001:2008 quality certified. Contributes to green building LEED credits for reducing stormwater runoff, reducing the heat island effect, reducing site disturbance and using recycled material content.
The GEOPAVE® porous pavement system is designed for confining and stabilizing porous infill materials from normal vehicle or pedestrian traffic. The system offers an economical solution for creating permeable pavements that can perform as an on-site stormwater storage “basin”. Contributes to green building LEED credits for reducing stormwater runoff, reducing the heat island effect, reducing site disturbance and using recycled material content.
The Presto GEOWEB® System is the original 3D soil stabilization system developed over 30 years ago for creating solutions to challenging soil stabilization problems. The system’s versatility has beneficial and wide-spread use in diverse markets and industries. The system offers architects and engineers innovative solutions to applications including slope, shoreline and channel protection, permeable roadways and road shoulders, and vegetated retaining walls. The system contributes to LEED® and green building credits for reducing storm water runoff, reducing the heat island effect and reducing site disturbance.
The GEOWEB® Slope Protection System provides a structurally-stable environment for infill materials through a network of three-dimensional interconnected cells. The system confines and reinforces the upper soil layer, increasing its resistance to erosive and sliding forces. The Geoweb system provides long-term stability of sustainable vegetation, permeable aggregate, hard-armored concrete, as well as protection to geomembranes through use of high-strength tendons. The 3D structure supports topsoil and vegetation on slope surfaces that otherwise could not support plant life and allows slopes to be designed and constructed steeper than otherwise possible, reducing use of valuable land space. ISO 9001:2008 quality certified.
The GEOWEB® Channel Protection System provides a wide variety of economical, flexible protection treatments for channels and hydraulic structures. The system provides stability and protection to channels exposed to erosive conditions ranging from low-to-high flows, either intermittent or continuous. Vegetated Geoweb channels can replace rip rap with less maintenance and less cost for drainage ditches, swales and spillways. Aggregate-confined Geoweb systems are more stable than unconfined aggregate, effective in low-to-moderate flow channels and often with smaller, less expensive materials. Concrete infill provides hard, durable protection for channels exposed to higher velocities. Multi-layered systems are effective for intermittent channels where vegetation is desired. ISO 9001:2008 quality certified.
The GEOWEB® Retaining Wall System is a structurally-sound green alternative to modular block retaining walls and is especially beneficial in soft soil environments.. The Geoweb wall system meets all design requirements while providing desired aesthetics through a completely vegetated face. Horizontal terraces are formed where vegetation can flourish in the exposed outer cells. The system contributes to LEED® and green building credits for reducing site development and reducing impervious cover and storm water runoff.
The GEOWEB® Load Support System is an economical three-dimensional soil stabilization solution to unacceptable road, parking, and yard surface problems that result from sub-grade material failure or base material instability. The highly-effective system strengthens and stabilizes granular infill materials, providing load distribution in key areas: base stabilization over weak soils or under paved surfaces, permeable surface stabilization for unpaved aggregate surfaces and temporary stabilization for site access. Lower quality, less expensive on-site infill materials may be used. With permeable infill, the system reduces stormwater runoff and performs like an on-site stormwater storage “basin”. Confinement of infill increases the effective structural number, reducing the infill depth requirements and costs by 50%. ISO 9001:2008 quality certified
When concentrated flows or water fluctuations cause scour, consider the Presto GEORUNNER® Flow Protection Mats. The light-weight, durable mats protect against scour caused by surface flow, water fluctuations and wave action. The mats are ideal for protecting channel embankments, shorelines, culvert outfalls and areas exposed to concentrated flows.
Presto GEORUNNER® Surface Protection Mats are portable, economical and drivable mats that every contractor will want. The light-weight (8 lbs), easy-to-handle size makes them ideally-suited for transporting to construction sites.
GeoRunner mats minimize turf damage and soil compaction caused by concentrated light-to-medium loads from pedestrian foot traffic, equipment and vehicles. Contractors prefer them over plywood because they can be quickly removed from sites, cleaned, stored and reused numerous times.
The GEOTERRA® System offers contractors a durable, reusable structural mat system that eliminates the safety hazards and expense of the classic timber mat systems. The system is an economical ground-surface reinforcement layer that supports loads over soft subgrades and creates reinforced pavements in less-than-ideal environments. The system prevents rutting of soils, provides access over sand and poor soils and is suitable for supporting a wide variety of vehicle and equipment loads.
