Schluter-Systems' North America subsidiary, Schluter Systems L.P., was founded in 1986. With offices both in Quebec, Canada and Plattsburgh, New York, this subsidiary is the second-largest operation in the International Corporation, the first being the home company in Germany.

Schluter®-KERDI Now Features Printed Gridlines

Schluter®-KERDI is a pliable, sheet-applied, bonded waterproof membrane and vapor retarder with limited crack-bridging capabilities. Now with printed gridlines. It is made of soft polyethylene, which is covered on both sides with a special fleece webbing to anchor the membrane in the thin-set mortar. KERDI was developed as a waterproofing membrane to be used in conjunction with ceramic and stone tile coverings. Tiles can be installed directly on KERDI using the thin-bed method. Other trowel-applied covering materials, such as plaster, can also be used.

Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN

Schluter®-KERDI-DRAIN is a floor drain specifically designed to allow connections to Schluter®-KERDI or other load-bearing, bonded waterproof membranes. The membrane is adhered to the large integrated bonding flange to form a waterproof connection at the top of the drain assembly. KERDI-DRAIN consists of a drain casing and fully adjustable grate assembly or covering support to which tile is applied. The grate assembly accommodates a wide range of tile thicknesses and allows lateral and tilt adjustment as well. The covering support is placed flush with the top of the bonding flange and can therefore accommodate any thickness tile covering.

Schluter®-KERDI-SHOWER components are made of lightweight, expanded polystyrene for the construction of tiled shower receptors. The KERDI-SHOWER-ST tray, -SC curb, -SR ramp and -SB bench are specifically designed to integrate with the KERDI bonded waterproofing membrane and KERDI-DRAIN. The KERDI-SHOWER-L/-LS are specifically designed to accept the KERDI-LINE linear drain.

Schluter®-KERDI-LINE

Schluter-KERDI-LINE is a low profile linear floor drain specifically designed for bonded waterproofing assemblies. KERDI-LINE can be installed adjacent to walls or at intermediate locations in showers, steam rooms, wet rooms, and other applications that require waterproofing and drainage. The floor can be sloped on a single plane to KERDI-LINE, which enables the use of large-format tiles and creates interesting design opportunities.

The Schluter®-SHOWERPROFILE-S is a two-part profile with a tapered edge, designed to cover adjoining tile edges that become exposed as the shower floor slopes to accommodate drainage to the Schluter®-KERDI-LINE. The tapered profile features a visible surface of brushed stainless steel and a fleece fabric on the reverse for bonding with the tile adhesive. It is designed to be inserted into the U-shaped groove of the matching hard PVC support profile. The profile can be used for lateral transitions to the wall or the adjoining floor.

Schluter®-SHOWERPROFILE-R

The Schluter®-SHOWERPROFILE-R is a two part wall transition profile made of brushed stainless steel for covering the exposed wall area where the floor slopes down to a perimeter linear drain. A fleece fabric is laminated on the reverse of the profile for bonding with the tile adhesive. The two-part design of the SHOWERPROFILE-R can be seamlessly adjusted to any height between 29/32" (23 mm) and 1-25/32" (45 mm) (available in two versions). The profile is available in lengths of 39" (1 m) and 55" (1.4 m) and can be cut to the desired length.

DECO-SG features a trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg that is secured in the bond coat beneath the tile.
