Tectum products are cementitious wood fiber acoustical panels composed of aspen wood fibers. All of our products carry a Class A/1 interior finish rating for flame and smoke. In addition, all Tectum products are "green" because they are manufactured using only renewable wood and other sustainable raw materials.

Fabri-Glass
|
The Tectum Fabri-Glass wall panel system is a very cost-effective way to control unwanted noise. The 1" thick fiberglass substrate is covered by a wide choice of woven or non-woven fabrics in many color selections, and provides a Speech Privacy Range of 0.95. An NRC of 0.80 is achieved with an A mounting. The system is Class A when tested under ASTM E-84 requirements.

Tectum Variations
|
a Tectum lay-in ceiling panel with a thin fiberglass veil laminated to the face of the panel. The panel is then painted. The end result is a smooth, attractive panel that will compliment any design where high end finishes are specified, while maintaining the outstanding abuse resistance Tectum panels have provided for years.
The non-gloss surface gives the panel an exclusive and true ‘plaster like' look. The facer allows sound waves that are not absorbed by the veil to pass through and be absorbed by the base board. The veil does enhance the acoustical performance of one inch Tectum product.

Tectum panels in this system are designed to meet security and acoustical requirements in confinement areas.
The Tectum panels used for this system are as follows:
- Tectum 1" acoustical panels beveled on four sides.
- Tectum 1-1/2" acoustical panels with T&G detailing on all four sides.

Tectum Sound Blocks are a decorative way to control reverberant sound in either new or existing rooms. Their 3" x 15.5" x 15.5" dimensions and beveled edges make them easy to install in various patterns.
Recommended spacing is 24" or 32" O.C. They come complete with individual hanging clips and in natural or painted white finish.

The use of Tectum acoustical panels as hanging sound baffles is growing in popularity as the durability, paintability, ease of application in numerous situations and the need for their sound-absorbing qualities is recognized by acoustical engineers.
Standard Tectum Sound Baffles are available 1", 1-1/2" or 2" thick, with square edges or beveled edges bottom only. Widths are 2' and they are 4' long. Finish is natural, factory painted natural or white, or Image painted (both sides). Various methods are appropriate for hanging. See Marketing Bulletin M-8.
CAUTION: Do not use baffles above swimming pools or gyms where repeated impact occur.

Designed to meet the specific security and acoustical requirements in confinement areas, the Tectum Direct Attachment Security Ceiling System has been successfully used in hundreds of correctional facilities across the country. The system is ideal for large, open areas such as day rooms, recreational facilities, dormitories and dining halls, as well as corridors where one long, steel backed panel can span the corridor width.
Available with or without the 25-gauge galvanized steel plate laminated to the back of the panel, directly attach the panel to the ceiling or furring using the Tectum tamper-resistant screws in an Ashlar pattern.

Tectum Structural Roof Deck Systems are the most logical choice for acoustical control available. Why? Because TECTUM products provide a number of cost-effective advantages, including ease-of-installation, a nailable top surface for direct application of the roof, and an abuse-resistant, acoustical-textured interior finish, all in one easy-to-install panel. Labor costs are kept to a minimum. These Class A rated panels are specified for all major model codes from the East Coast to the West Coast. Specify TECTUM products on your next project for all your acoustical needs.

Tectum III
|
The Tectum III Roof Deck panel is a composite of 1-1/2" or thicker TECTUM panel, Styrofoam brand insulation and OSB board.
Tectum III panels are typically used in sloped applications where insulation and a nailable surface are required. Tectum III Roof Deck panels are a composite of Tectum substrate, Styrofoam brand insulation 1-1/2" to 9" thick and 7/16" OSB board.

Tectum E
|
The Tectum E roof deck panel is a composite of a Tectum substrate EPS insulation and OSB board, which are bonded with code-listed structural adhesives.
The EPS core exceeds the requirements of ASTM C-578 Type I and bears the UL classification mark. The top nailable surface is 7/16" OSB with a slip-resistant surface.
