GreenGlass tile backer, a fiberglass-faced gypsum board, is a strong, water-resistant substrate for the application of tile in high-moisture, high-humidity commercial and residential environments. Superior for walls, ceilings, shower and tub enclosures, countertops and light flooring, GreenGlass tile backer features a built-in, moisture-blocking coating over naturally mold- and moisture-resistant fiberglass facers laminated to a specially formulated water-resistant core. GreenGlass tile backer also offers a standard-setting minimum of 90% certified recycled gypsum content that can contribute toward credits in multiple green building rating systems.
GreenGlass fiberglass-faced gypsum liner panels are designed for use in elevators, mechanical/electrical shafts, stairwells and area separation walls. ComfortGuard water- and mold-resistant gypsum board is manufactured with the TemShield mold-protection system integrated into its facers and core. ComfortGuard’s superior surface smoothness ensures trouble-free finishing without added prep. Installation is fast, easy and efficient every time. Produced in 1/2" and fire-resistant 5/8" thicknesses, 48" and 54" widths and lengths of 8', 10', and 12', ComfortGuard is suitable for a broad range of commercial and residential applications.
ComfortGuard sound-deadening gypsum board features two separate specially engineered 5⁄16"-thick gypsum panels, each manufactured with a mold- and moisture-resistant core and facers, laminated together using a viscoelastic polymer. With this pliable adhesive between the two rigid panels, ComfortGuard is a very effective product for interrupting the transmission of noise vibrations through wall and partition assemblies. This makes ComfortGuard the ideal solution to help deliver new, increasingly common code-required, higher STC values.
ComfortGuard Abuse-Resistant (AR) gypsum board and ComfortGuard Impact-Resistant (IR) gypsum board are two great solutions for increasing the resistance of a structure's walls to both surface and penetration damage in busy, high-traffic areas. Our regular gypsum board is the foundation for beautiful walls. That’s because it offers an easy-to-work-with, smooth, consistent surface. Manufactured in a range of dimensions, it is an efficient, affordable, lightweight material for both remodeling and new construction.
Six inches wider than a standard 48" gypsum board panel, Stretch54 reduces the number of joints in nine-foot walls for a smoother surface, critical for today's thinner wallpapers and new no-texture finishes. That’s because two standard width boards come up one foot short when hanging panels on nine-foot walls. A one-foot filler strip must be used to complete the wall, which also adds an additional joint to tape and float.
Temple-Inland’s fire-resistant gypsum board product line now consists of our standard Type-X panels and our improved Type TG-C panels. This new formula takes the place of our previous Type-C and Type-T products and has been approved for use in almost twice as many UL assemblies.
Covered with a water-repellent green face paper, Temple-Inland water-resistant gypsum board is an excellent wall and ceiling construction material for high humidity areas. It may also be used as a base for the application of ceramic tile or other types of adhesively applied wall panels in most circumstances.* Installed and finished like regular gypsum board when not covered by decorative wall panels, it provides a perfect blend of convenience, performance and durability.
Combining a treated gypsum core with a water-repellent face paper, gypsum sheathing improves structural strength while enhancing weather and fire resistance at an affordable installed cost. It is suitable for installation under many types of exterior surfaces including masonry veneer and all types of siding.
StructGuard® TS is the structural gypsum sheathing that also simplifies application, maximizes moisture, mold and fire resistance and provides exceptional cost efficiency and stability. All in addition to delivering code-recognized wall bracing strength.
Span24® is a 1/2" gypsum board specifically designed to maintain exceptional flatness on ceilings framed 24" o.c. Thinner and lighter than traditional 5/8" panels, it’s also easier to handle and more cost efficient. Stronger than regular 1/2" gypsum, it surpassed the standards for 5/8" material in ATSM sag tests conducted at 90° Fahrenheit and 90% humidity.
Combining fire resistance, sound abatement and ease of application, Temple-Inland’s SilentGuard Shaftliner is an attractive alternative to traditional masonry construction for elevator shafts, stairwells, air and mechanical shafts, grease ducts, as well as area separation walls. It is designed for installation from the perimeter of the shaft, eliminating the cost and labor of scaffolding construction.
