Vapor-Permeable Air Barrier

ExoAir Vapor-Permeable Air Barrier Systems are designed to seal walls from air infiltration and exfiltration, while allowing vapor molecules to pass through so they do not get trapped within the wall. Trapped moisture vapor could cause condensation to occur within the wall cavity which can lead to structural deterioration and shortened structure life.

ExoAir T3 Solutions
Tremco's T3 Building Enclosure Solutions seal out weather around windows and doors while sealing in comfort and energy savings. The T3 approach employs three layers that work in unison: an outer layer that provides weather protection while allowing for vapor diffusion; a middle layer that provides a thermal barrier; and an airtight, vapor-resistant inner seal.

Engineered Transition Assembly - Proglaze® ETA

Proglaze® ETA Connections are pre-engineered silicone materials used as a transition assembly between the window or wall system and adjacent air and vapor barrier materials. The assembly is comprised of a flat single or double ribbed silicone extrusion of varying widths, which is adhered to the building faade with Spectrem 1 Silicone Sealant to ensure a durable connection and positive seal. The opposite edge of the ribbed silicone extrusion will span unsupported onto the wall and/or window system, which is adhered with Spectrem 1 Silicone Sealant. This connection will provide a long-term durable flexible connection between the two components.

Protective wall coatings can restore aesthetic appeal and extend the life of a building's exterior. Containing a fire to an area of origin once it starts allows occupants to find safe passages to emergency exits and first responders to assist with evacuation before working to extinguish the fire. Buildings are constructed with fire-rated walls and floors to allow these compartments to be created, but joints between assemblies or penetrations in assemblies can negate the protection they were designed to create.
