Overview:
Founded in 1967 in Sendenhorst, Germany, VEKA is the world’s largest extruder of PVC window & door profiles. VEKA has numerous facilities around the world including VEKA Inc., Based in Fombell, Pennsylvania
which was established in 1983 bringing residential PVC windows to the US market. The tremendous growth of VEKA Inc. allowed expansion throughout North America in Reno, Nevada; Terrell, Texas; Youngstown, OH; and Edmonton Alberta Canada.
In 2006, VEKA entered the commercial window market by bringing the first Steel reinforced PVC, commercially rated window system to the US. These European window systems have proven themselves time and time again throughout Europe and Asia. Some well-noted installations include the Bank of China in Jinan, The Olympic Village in Barcelona, Spain, & the Piz Gloria Ski Lodge high atop the Schilthorn in Switzerland.
These heavy-duty systems feature 58mm products for Residential(R) and Light Commercial(LC) rated installations, while the 70mm products are rated for Commercial(C), Heavy Commercial(HC) and Architectural installations. There is a vast array of operator types as well as color or wood grain options for the interior or exterior of the window.
With today’s ever growing awareness of energy conservation and “green solutions”, architects should note that PVC windows and doors possess outstanding thermal performance characteristics not typically found in aluminum curtain wall systems but more in the residential market until now.

VEKAdeck™
|
The goal was to produce an easy to install board that contractors and do-it-yourselfers would be comfortable working with. So, with this in mind VEKAdeck™ comes in a standard 5-1/2'' x 1'' dimension in lengths of 8', 10', 12', 16' and 20'. The product's maximum span is 16'' on center diagonally or straight across. The cellular properties of VEKAdeck™ make for a lightweight material that accepts nails or deck screws (stainless steel recommended) and can be cut, mitered or sanded.
