York Shingle Starter Strip is an easy, cost-effective alternative to the traditional method of cutting and inverting shingles to form a starter course. Self-adhesive and cold applied, it may be installed over existing shingles or over any York membrane; no special adhesives, fasteners or special equipment required. York Shingle Starter Strip seals around nail penetrations to provide waterproofing protection, and its tough granular surface guards against physical damage while providing superior UV ray protection.

York HomeSeal
|
York HomeSeal sealing tape can be used to seal cracks, punctures, or variations in foundations or masonry walls. It also provides a superior barrier to air and moisture at construction joints and fittings around doors and windows. Its tough, high-density polyethylene film resists physical damage, and its proprietary, modified asphalt gives you the waterproofing effectiveness of traditional modified bitumen products along with a unique combination of high strength, low temperature adhesion and high temperature stability. Use on pre-cast concrete, plywood, or metal and concrete block.

YorkWrap
|
Our flexible, non-adhesive polymer membrane is engineered to isolate galvanized hardware from pressure treated lumber on decks -- including joist tops and ends, joist hangers and post anchors -- as well as below-grade water diversion and frost damage protection, and isolation between pressure-treated skirt boards and galvanized sheathing on steel-sided buildings.
YorkWrap isolation tape is recommended as part of a moisture protection solution for decks when combined with YorkShield 106 PT copper flashing.

York Flashing Selection Power-Point
The purpose of this presentation is to explore the types of materials in general use today as thru-wall flashings and group them into classes. We will then compare the alternatives within each class as well as compare each class to the other classes. Lastly, we will explore new innovations and technologies within each class.
This comparison will be based on the premise that longevity, puncture resistance, tensile strength, ease of installation and compatibility are "Critical to Quality" properties of all flashing materials. Said another way, if our flashings outlives the building, survives installation without damage, goes in correctly and gets along with all of its neighbors, then, life is good.
The final analysis, simply state, implies that the longer lived and more complex the project the more of these "Critical to Quality" properties we need or the more we have the better off we are.
