Snap-R
|
Constructed of polystyrene material, these 1 and 3/8 uniquely shaped thermal blocks will add R-values to the ceiling insulation system. The material snaps onto the purlin flanges and will not be blown away by the wind during roof installation. Snap-R® is very easy to use and will reduce contact between the roof panels and the purlins, increasing the thermal performance of the insulation system.

This white polyethylene foam with adhesive film on one side applies easily and adds R-values to the total system. The thermal break is placed onto the purlins or girts to restrict contact between metal structures, and minimizing conduction of heat into and out of the building. The foam is 1/8" thick by 3" wide.

Fast-R
|
Galvanized steel straps that have barbed arrows located centrally every eight inches. The straps are hung in the wall cavity between the girts. The insulation is then impaled onto the arrows where it will retain its shape and position within the cavity for the life of the system.

The existing Lake Mills station was in poor condition and was too small for newer, larger apparatus. The new facilities are a result of a study done in 2001 to address the deteriorating condition of the station. The Lake Mills Fire Department’s new facilities was completed in two phases to allow the vital firefighting equipment to be housed in the old section while the first phase was constructed. Phase two was completed in September of 2005.
Total square footage of the project was over 20,500 square feet. The roof slope is 2/12 pitch and utilized 18,700 square feet of R-29 Simple Saver System.
