About GAF
Founded in 1886, GAF has become the largest roofing manufacturer in North America. The company’s products include a comprehensive portfolio of steep-slope and commercial roofing systems, which are supported by an extensive national network of factory-certified contractors. Unlike some roofing manufacturers who seem to have a “one-technology-fits-all” mentality, GAF’s goal is to help contractors build their businesses by matching the right roofing technology to their clients’ specific needs. The company offers all major low-slope roofing technologies, including repair and maintenance products and roof restoration systems (often at half the cost of a new roof), as well as new roofing systems (BUR, MB, TPO, PVC, and composite systems). A new high-performance TPO product, EverGuard Extreme®, is available for use in solar or other extreme applications. In addition, a new, state-of-the-art ISO manufacturing plant is expected to be operational during 2012.

MP-300 Rust Inhibiting Primer

TOPCOAT® TOPCOAT® MP-300 is a light blue, acrylic water-based, industrial primer/rust inhibitor that must be applied to any areas of rust before TOPCOAT® Flashing Grade or TOPCOAT® Elastomeric Roofing Membrane can be applied. Dens Deck® Dens-Deck® roof board is an exceptional fire barrier, thermal barrier and recovery board used in various commercial roofing systems. The patented Dens-Deck® design employs glass mat facings front and back that are embedded into a water-resistant gypsum core, providing excellent fire resistance, moisture resistance and wind uplift properties. The unique construction of Dens-Deck® provides superior flute spanning that stiffens and provides increased foot traffic resistance to the roof deck. Dens Deck® Flame spread 0, smoke developed 0, when tested in accordance with ASTM E84 or CAN/ULC-S102. Noncombustible when ­tested in accordance with ASTM E136.

Dens-Deck® Fireguard®: UL Classified when tested in accordance with ASTM E119.

1/4" Dens-Deck® has been tested by Factory Mutual for 60 psf and 90 psf wind uplift for BUR, EPDM, thermoplastics and modified bitumen roof systems. Higher wind uplift ratings have been achieved by numerous membrane manufacturers using Dens-Deck® in their FMRC-approved construction designs.

Recover Boards

EverGuard® EnergyGuard™ Perlite Recover Board is a heavy duty, 1/2” thick perlite roof insulation board composed of expanded perlite, cellulose binders, and waterproofing agents. It is treated for surface retention of bitumen and available in 2’ x 4’ (0.6m x 1.2m) 4’ x 4’ (1.2m x 1.2m) and 4’ x 8’ (1.2m x 2.4m), with a nominal thickness of 1/2” (13mm).

Separation Sheets

EverGuard® GAF EverGuard® single-ply roofing systems include a full line of EverGuard separation sheets, both non-woven polyester (beige in color) and fiberglass fire-resistant (green in color) mat. EverGuard separation sheets are easy to install; loose applied sheets require little or no mechanical attachment. They protect the EverGuard membrane from damage, in the case of non-woven polyester sheets, and improve the overall fire resistance of roof assemblies, in the case of fiberglass sheets.
