With energy efficiency and green building awareness in the forefront of modern construction practices, Hunter Panels brings cost-effective solutions with its energy smart polyisocyanurate roof insulation. Since its inception in 1998, Hunter Panels has provided environmentally friendly rigid foam panels for the commercial and residential building materials industry. The panels can be used in both flat and steep slope roofing applications, as well as exterior commercial wall applications, both providing energy savings and prompt return on investment for building owners and public buildings.
Hunter Panels is the fastest growing polyiso manufacturer in North America. Polyiso commands an impressive 60% market share in new construction and is incorporated in nearly 50% of retrofit projects as well. Polyisos well-known performance characteristics include high thermal resistance values, superior fire and wind ratings, and universal compatibility with all major roofing systems.
In 2011 Hunter Panels launched a new division Hunter Xci, a full line of commercial wall insulation panels. Hunter Xci products are designed for use in commercial wall applications to provide ci continuous insulation within the building envelope.
Hunter Xci polyiso products:
- Have the highest R-Value per inch of any insulation,
- NFPA 285 TEST Passed, (see individual submittal docs for assembly lists)
- Contribute towards LEED certification credits,
- HCFC, CFC, zero ODP, and negligable GWP
Hunter Panels manufacturers a full line of roofing products including; flat, tapered, nailable, vented, composites and cover boards. It is manufactured on line using premium performance coated glass facers.H-Shield HD Composite CG is a unique composite insulation panel comprised of 1⁄2 high density polyiso cover board laminated during the manufacturing process to H-Shield CG rigid polyiso roof insulation. This product is ideal for commercial roofing projects that require high thermal efficiency combined with maximum durability in both new construction and retrofit applications. R-value is optimized with a thinner profile than any other insulation available on the market.Xci Class A is an exterior wall insulation panel composed of a Class A rigid polyisocyanurate foam core laminated during the manufacturing process to reinforced foil facers.Xci CG is a high thermal resistive rigid insulation panel composed of a closed cell polyisocyanurate foam core bonded on-line during the manufacturing process to a premium performance coated glass facer. It is designed for use in commercial wall applications to provide continuous insulation within the building envelope.Xci Foil is a high thermal resistive rigid insulation panel composed of a closed cell polyisocyanurate foam core bonded on-line during the manufacturing process to an impermeable foil facing material. It is designed for use in commercial cavity wall applications to provide continuous insulation within the building envelope.Xci Ply is a high thermal resistive rigid insulation panel composed of a closed cell polyisocyanurate foam core bonded to a fiber reinforced facer on one side and 5 /8" or 3⁄4" Fire treated plywood on the other. It is designed for use as exterior continuous insulation in a wall assembly.
PRODUCTTRADE NAMEDESCRIPTIONCONTENTH-Shield flat polyiso is the core of the Hunter product line. For the roof system designer who demands that function come first, H-Shield is the definitive answer. A closed cell polyisocyanurate foam core is bonded during a continuous process to fiber reinforced or fiberglass facers to produce a rigid 4x8 or 4x4 panel. The elimination of ponding water on a roof surface extends the life of the roofing membrane, reduces structural burden and discourages mold and algae. This sloped rigid roof insulation is produced on-line in 1/8", Ό, 3/16" or ½" per foot. 4x4 panels to promote positive drainage. Hunter Panels team will work with you from start to finish to engineer the appropriate tapered design for your roof configuration and drainage requirements.H-Shield CG is a rigid roof insulation panel composed of a closed cell polyiso foam core laminated on-line to a premium performance coated glass facer. This product is approved for Class A rating without a fire rated slip sheet, or the presence of a gypsum cover board when applied at a thickness of 3" or greater in a single layer or in combination of multiple layers. Compatible with all Single Ply membranes.Tapered H-Shield-CG is a sloped rigid roof insulation panel composed of a closed cell polyisocyanurate foam core bonded on-line to coated glass fiber matt facers (gray). Tapered H-Shield-CG is designed to promote positive drainage and prevent ponding water. For best results, use Hunter Panels Tapered Shop Drawings.Polyiso bonded in the manufacturing process to OSB combines the insulating properties of polyiso with a nailable base in a single layer application. H-Shield NB has superior pullout values for use in standing metal roof systems and incorporates APA rated Exposure 12 Oriented Strand Board.
