|

Product is used in multi-story buildings behind spandrel areas of curtain wall construction, protecting the perimeter from spread of fire from floor to floor.

|
Perimeter fire containment system that provides superior fire protection at the curtain wall/slab intersection. Impasse streamlines installation steps, significantly reducing labor cost. Systems provide 2 and 3-hour fire containment.

CW90, CW70, CW40
|
CW40, CW70 and CW90 are still seen in many curtain wall fire containment specifications and thus are still offered. Although these products provide fire perfomance in curtain wall assemblies, they were used in the development of curtain wall systems back in the 70's and 80's. These products have since been replaced by our Firespan and Firespan SS insulation. Firespan is the correct material for use in perimeter fire containment assemblies since Firespan is tested and listed by UL and OPL.

|
Designed for wall applications. Ideal for wood and steel-stud wall assemblies and exterior wall z-furring. FS-15 is unfaced and FS-25 includes a foil-scrim-polyethylene (FSP) facing for applications where a vapor retarder and maximum flame spread of 25 are required. Product is also used in floor/ceiling and crawl space assemblies.
