Superior engineered design allows for taller and wider panels (up to 4’ x 10’), both top and bottom load, and inswing and outswing options. Cornerless and segmented radius options are also available. Their glass panels meet the requirements of Heavy Commercial AAMA testing, Miami-Dade Certification and Florida Building Product Approval.
Screen options include manual or motorized cassette screens, screens that fold in the opposite direction of the glass panel, and sliding screens.
Stacking glass doors are individual panels which slide along a top hung track and stack to a remote location. There is no limitation to the number of panels which move nor is there a standard size panel. Stacking walls are ideal for large individual panels, typically over 48” wide. Solar Innovations® can design around virtually any parameters you have envisioned.
These systems are ideal for customers desiring a temporary wall with the longevity typical of a Solar Innovations, Inc. product. Dual Track Sliding Glass Doors: One operable panel slides behind a fixed panel.
Multi-Track Sliding Glass Doors: Two or more operable panels slide behind a fixed panel.
Pocketing Sliding Glass Doors: All panels slide into a pocket within the wall, leaving a completely open space.
No Post Sliding Glass Doors: Two sliding door systems join together at either a 90 degree or 135 degree corner, without using a post for the connection.
Radius Sliding Glass Doors: Panels slide on track that has been radiused.
This type of door is designed for oversized openings, and is available in a French door configuration. Typical sizes range from 4’0” wide up to 10’0” tall. Solar Innovations doors are durable and withstand the test of time. They use either thermal or non-thermal frames and are available with internal grids or simulated divided lights, and decorative base panels. Their doors meet the requirements of Heavy Commercial AAMA testing and Florida Building Product Approval.
Solar Innovations® now offers two lift slide door systems, also available in window sizes. Each system is constructed out of termally isolated aluminum frames which will not rot, warp, rust, or require constant finish maintenance. Wood veneer can be added to the doors to achieve the look of a true wooden door. Various speciers are available, including mahogany, pine, fir, and birch. A lift slide door is a variation of a traditional sliding door; the basic design is still the same, with panels that slide on a track. Pocketing doors are available options with lift slide doors on one side or both left and right sides. Both systems are offered in four standard colors: White, Bronze, Clear Anodized, and Dark Bronze Anodized; additional custom colors are available.
Tilt turn windows are a very unique and functional window, applicable in endless applications. These windows are quickly gaining popularity in the United States. These windows have been manufactured for almost a hundred years, starting out in Europe in the early 1900’s. The beauty of a tilt turn window is its dual action. The window will open like a casement window and will tilt in at the top. Each window is customized to your exact specifications. Tilt turn doors are also available; the window is capable of being manufactured to fit large openings.
The tilt-n-turn windows allow for easy cleaning in hard to reach areas of the home, from the 2nd floor to the 100th floor.
Tilt slide doors are structured similarly to the tilt turn doors; Both options are dual action. The tilt turn door will tilt-in at the top and open like a casement window. Tilt slide doors retain the ability to tilt in at the top of the window, but do not open like a casement. The tilt slide panels slide left or right. The result is a clear opening through which a person can pass.
Folding windows by Solar Innovations® are almost identical to folding doors. These windows can be utilized for both commercial and residential applications. The windows are often used for enclosed patios, sunrooms, and serving windows between kitchens and dining rooms in residential settings. Commercial applications include restaurant windows, hotel windows, and stadium boxes. Various sill options can be utilized for each application and to meet design and performance requirements. The appeal of folding windows is the ability to completely open a view. When the windows are open there are no bars or mullions obstructing the opening which allows for a beautiful view. There are several screening options available to keep out unwanted pests, ut allow guests to enjoy the natural environment.
Stacking glass windows by Solar Innovations® are very similar to stacking walls. The main differences between the two are the dimensions. Stacking windows are of course, shorter. This window system is suitable for residential applications but is more commonly found in commercial situations. Stacking windows are often used to divide conference rooms or placed on a building’s exterior such as a restaurant or hotel. A stacking window system will slide along a track and stack at the end of the into the wall or make a turn and then stack into a remote location.

Casement windows, which crank open like a book, are one of the most popular window styles in the world today. This system has been in existance since the beginning of the 18th century. First constructed out of iron and true leaded divisions to hold the glass, the casement window was only for the very wealthy. The industrial revolution changed this with the introduction of mass production of glass and wooden frames. Today wooden casement windows are still very popular, but will rot, warp, possibly succumb to termites, and require stain or paint maintenance.

Solar Innovations® is a manufacturer of glazed Garden Windows, or greenhouse windows. These windows can be used to replace a standard flat window with a gardener’s in-home haven. Hung windows have been in existence since the 1600’s, and their invention is accredited to the famous scientist Robert Hooke. Ham House in England is one of the earliest examples of a house utilizing hung window. Vermeer’s painting The Milkmaid, from 1658, depicts a hung window in the background. At the time of their invention most hung windows were constructed out of timber with individual panels of glass being held in place by a grid.
A Tilt Turn window can be used in both residential and commercial applications. The window can be utilized in almost any room within a residential home.
