Air Base® 201
|
Factory pre-finished oak planking absorbs the pounding of vigorous
athletic activities through exclusive Gerstung Energy Blocks®. Both resil-
ient and absorbing at the same time, the air cushion below the floor
responds like an air mattress to help minimize injury and fatigue. The oak
plank is a multiple layered pre-finished wood flooring that provides maxi-
mum dimensional stability and allows the wood to resist normal shrinking
and swelling. Our oak planks are coated with seven layers of UV cured
urethane and aluminum oxide finish providing the durability and protec-
tion necessary for high traffic and athletic use.

Acryloflex™ is a truly flexible hardwood planking, due largely to cross cuts on the underside of each plank. The cone-shaped tongue-and-groove connection on all four sides allows extreme flexibility with no chance for breakage of the tongue and grove joints. Acryloflex™ is factory finished. Liquid acrylic, along with stain, is pressed 1/8" (3.2mm) deep into the pores of the oak. The result: a harder-than-hardwood floor that never needs waxing or resurfacing (only occasional maintenance). The rich wood grain of Acryloflex™ adds a touch of class to any facility.

A technology breakthrough in hardwood flooring. Its unfinished surface combines the natural warmth of sanded hardwood with the parquet look that is in demand for both traditional and specialty dance. Recommended for tap dancing. Its full 5/16" wear surface allows for more sanding applications than other wood floors on the market. The surface is smooth, but not slippery, especially when wet. This patented construction gives Dance Parquet a versatility and suitability for dance and athletic applications that no other hardwood flooring can match.

For gymnastics and other high impact activities, 1 1/4" (32mm) Polaris Foam™ is recommended. Use with or without Airbase® for permanent or removable installation.
