Overview:
Watts SunTouch is the premier electric radiant floor heating brand in North America. Watts Radiant is the manufacturer and a subsidiary of Watts Water Technologies, listed on the NYSE as WTS.
Watts has manufactured safety devices for heating since 1874. Our company slogan is “Watts makes it safe” and this priority is evident in the engineering and assembly of SunTouch products. SunTouch mats and cable sets are manufactured in the US. All products are UL and/or ETL listed. All mats and cables are tested for EMF output according to the REET standard (Radiant Electric Emission Test) by ETL Semko and emit less than 0.2 milliGauss of EMF.
Your clients will love warm tile floors. In baths, atriums, showers, gyms, or entries, their floor will be more comfortable, dryer and safer to walk on. Watts gives you more sizes and more solutions for radiant floor heating than any company. Watts has the controls, software, code listings and engineering to make your project a success.

UnderFloor
|
SunTouch® UnderFloor mats are the perfect solution for nearly every type of floor covering, especially in retrofit situations. These special mats warm existing floors without having to replace the floor coverings. If you have access under a floor, simply staple UnderFloor mats between the joists.
UnderFloor mats will warm wood, vinyl, laminates or tile floor coverings. They deliver 10 watts/sq. ft. of floor area (about 34 BTU/hr/sq. ft.). With UnderFloor mats, most floors can be heated up to 12° to 15°F warmer than they would otherwise be. Carpeted floors will not warm up as much as other floor coverings due to the high insulation value of carpet and padding. You may experience a temperature rise in the floor of only a 6°-10°F, which may or may not meet your satisfaction. Insulation installed below the mats is essential to complete the installation.

WarmWire
|
WarmWire is an economical way to warm floors and provide years of lasting comfort. Warm floors also dry quickly which means entries, kitchens and bathrooms are safer.
The material cost for an average 30 - 40 sq. ft. WarmWire floor is less than $500 with an operational cost roughly the same as two 60 watt light bulbs.
WarmWire can be used to warm areas as small as a powder room or as large as 240 sq. ft. Even larger areas can be warmed with multiple cables wired in parallel. By adjusting the cable spacing, heat output can be adjusted from 10 to 15 watts/sq. ft.

SunStat Relay
|
If a mat or cable system requires more than 15 amps, we recommend installing SunStat Relays. Relays connect directly to SunStat thermostats for simple, elegant control of larger systems. SunStat Relays don’t require a special “master thermostat”, as before.
It’s possible to control over 1500 sq.ft. of electric floor warming using 120 VAC and over 3,000 sq.ft. using 240 VAC floor warming mats or cables. First, find the amp draw for each SunTouch, UnderFloor or WarmWire product in this catalog or in manuals. Then determine how many can connect to each relay. Up to ten 15-amp Relays can connect to one SunStat. Ten Relays, plus the internal relay in the SunStat, provide a total capacity of 165 amps! Each Relay should be connected to individual 20-amp breakers, as shown in the owner's manual.
- Dual-Voltage 120/240VAC makes it easy to stock and easy to install.
- Built-in GFCI means safety and no need for a GFCI breaker.
- Built-in 15-amp relay for control of up to 150 sq. ft. at 120V or 300 sq. ft. at 240V.
- Heating Indicator and on/off switch for added control.
