Commercial Door Systems has been manufacturing Fiberglass and Aluminum doors since 1988. We expanded our offerings to incorporate Smooth Aluminum skins and natural feel and look composite woodgrain skins, to provide one of the most expansive product offerings within the Fiberglass Door Industry. CDS is proud to manufacture the strongest fiberglass door panel available today. Our primary focus is the educational, institutional and commercial markets. For nearly three decades, CDS has produced the highest quality FRP clad doors featuring mortise and tenon main frame assembly and a 6" head rail in every door model. This construction method creates a stronger, more durable door panel and provides plenty of space for no-hassle, secure door closer installation. The F200 is fabricated using 2.5" wide extruded aluminum stiles and bottom rails with integral edges. The finished product is low-maintenance, rust free and durable. CDS F200 doors are most commonly used in schools and university applications, but also used within institutions, hospitals, factories and any application where aesthetics, corrosion resistance and low maintenance are desired. Our FRP doors are an excellent choice when replacing wood or hollow metal doors for interior or exterior applications. CDS F200 doors are available in four finish options: Anodized Aluminum; textured FRP in Pebble Grain or Hexpin available in fourteen standard colors; or authentic natural wood grain textured FRP in flush or recessed panel configuration in four standard colors.

For nearly three decades, CDS has produced the highest quality FRP clad doors featuring mortise and tenon main frame assembly and 6" head rail in every door model. This construction method creates a stronger, more durable door panel and provides plenty of space for no-hassle, secure door closer installation. The F300 is fabricated using 4-3/8" wide extruded aluminum stiles with 3/32" wall thickness to provide clearance for the installation of concealed vertical rod devices. The head rail is 6" wide and the bottom rail is 2-1/2" wide. Interlocking edges are standard on the Model F300 door. The finished product is low-maintenance, rust free and durable. CDS F300 doors are most commonly used in schools and university applications, but also used within institutions, hospitals, factories and any application where aesthetics, corrosion resistance and low maintenance are desired. Our FRP doors are an excellent choice when replacing wood or hollow metal doors for interior or exterior applications. For nearly three decades, CDS has produced the highest quality FRP clad doors featuring mortise and tenon main frame assembly and 6" head rail in every door model. This construction method creates a stronger, more durable door panel and provides plenty of space for no-hassle, secure door closer installation. CDS F600 Extreme Duty Doors feature 6" wide hinge and lock stiles and 6" wide head and bottom rails all with 3/16" wall thickness. This heavy duty main frame design allows for secure mounting of surface mounted hardware such as exit devices and closers without the need for thru bolting. The rugged design and heavy duty assembly of the F600 make this door the choice for any opening that may be subject to abuse. Our FRP doors are an excellent choice when replacing wood or hollow metal doors for interior or exterior applications. CDS F600 doors are available in four finish options: Anodized Aluminum, textured FRP in Pebble Grain or Hexpin available in fourteen standard colors; or authentic natural wood grain textured FRP in flush panel configuration in four standard colors.

Wide Stile Heavy Duty Doors - CDS R500

The R500 is a heavy duty wide stile and rail door with mortise and tenon corner assembly. This model features standard 6-1/2" high top and bottom rails and 4-1/2" wide hinge and lock stiles with a recessed pocket to accept full 8" mortise locks. The R500 can be ordered with 1/4" or 1" glazing stops. The custom fabricated mid-panel is available with either textured FRP or anodized aluminum surface finish to compliment other doors on site. Optional recessed flush pulls can be added and a full view option is available. Other options include 10" high ADA door bottom rail or 13" (double-stacked 6-1/2") bottom rail. Notice: Exit device trims and levers may overlap the edge of the glazing area. CDS R500 doors are available in three finish options: a smooth aluminum skin with an optional mid-panel available in textured FRP in pebble grain or fine hexpin finish in fourteen standard colors.

The CDS FL200 heavy duty fire rated door is the perfect solution for applications that require a corrosion resistant door with a fire rating up to 1-1/2 hours. The CDS FL200 has been tested to positive pressure, hose stream, and 250 degree temperature rise standards. CDS FL200 doors are available in a .120" thick fire resistant Class A FRP pebble grain finish in fourteen standard colors. Panel edges are textured FRP to match the door surface. Optional stainless steel edge capping is available.

Heavy duty surface applied door stop. The door stop is fastened to framing with screws. It has perimeter wool pile weather-stripping and CDS-418 smoke-water gasket seals. The center support ribs are to deter against dimpling. The stop height aids in concealing full mortise gear hinges, and it features full 1/8″ thick surface for strike reinforcing.

Flush glazed frames, CDS series 145, 1-3/4″ x 4-1/2″ and 245, 2″ x 4-1/2″, are storefront or curtain wall type frames. Frames have gasket glazing, snap in stops and closed back inserts. These framing systems, along with thermally broken frames, are available on a per quote basis.

CDS offers standard extrusion shapes as well as custom bent shapes. Existing frames can be covered partially or completely using aluminum shapes. Standard extrusion shapes are 1/8″ thick. Standard thickness for custom bent materials is .090. Special order shapes and brake metal thickness are available; contact factory. Aluminum capping are cut to length and fitted in the field. CDS-225 and CDS-226 insert frames may be used with capping. Existing frames are to be measured carefully for proper door size calculation. When providing order sizes, be sure to consider both inside (D) and outside (OD) dimensions.

Heavy Duty Full Mortise Aluminum Gear Hinge. Hinges are concealed mounted between door and frame. Our Gear Hinges are supplied as an OEM product. CDS provides Heavy Duty Gear Hinge Models through very well-known and dependable manufactures, such as; Roton, Hager, Select, Markar and ABH. If you need a particular type of hinge other than our standard model or manufacturer please contact us. Astragals - CDS 355

Center Tee Overlapping Aluminum Astragal for Active and In-Active door leafs. This extruded aluminum center astragal weather-stripping is for pairs of doors with hardware that requires the use of beveled lock edges at the meeting stile. The center tee astragal provides a cover for lock latches. The parallel bevel of the inactive door leaf has a tighter inside gap than doors without; this provides a better latch connection for the lock. Most common uses are for a pair of doors, which are specified with a lock on the active door and a latch strike and door bolts on the inactive door.

Compliance to ADA guidelines. Provides no fasteners exposed to the hand when inserted. Our recessed door pull trim CDS-P3 meets current standards needed for public access. This pull trim has been designed to match our well known CDS-P2 pull trim. The heavy duty aluminum thickness provides strength and durability. ADA acceptable pull trim is to provide a pull surface with a minimum clearance of 2 1/2″ for hand insertion. This recessed pull trim is to be installed without any exposed fasteners to the hand when inserted. Product to be anodized aluminum or optional painted finish, as selected by owner. Pull grip to be 2″ wide by 7″ length.

The colonial style CDS-P4 recessed flush pull handle is similar to our CDS-P2 pull handle, but with a classic, colonial appearance. A modern styled recessed flush pull, which has been designed to meet accessibility standards. CDS-P5 recessed pull trims can be used in place of offset wire pulls and exit device pull trims. These pulls will complement the door style and trim colors used on your project. The grips offer the same styles as our P2 pull with a slotted, open area in the grip surface that provides a secure recessed pull with easier handicap use.

LM1.2 is an aluminum vision lite molding for 1″ thick inserts. Lites are supplied using day light opening sizes. Vision lite moldings can be used with glass, panels, or louvers. Panels have a perimeter c-channel mainframe on all four sides constructed from 3/4″ x 3/4″ x 3/4″ aluminum. The perimeter mainframe channel has a full 1/8″ wall thickness on all four sides with welded corner joints.

GREENGUARD

The following Commercial Door Systems products are now GREENGUARD GOLD certified: F200, F300, F500, F500HD and the F600. GREENGUARD GOLD Certification includes health based criteria for additional chemicals and requires lower total VOC emissions levels to ensure that products are acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities. Certified products must also comply with requirements of the State of California's Department of Public Health "Standard Method for the Testing and Evaluation of Volatile Organic Chemical Emissions from Indoor Sources Using Environmental Chambers, Version 1.1 (2010)"

THE LEED PROGRAM

LEED is recognized internationally as the standard green building certification system. It was started by The U.S. Green Building Council. On their website, they provide tips for building professionals, and the steps to achieve LEED membership. Commercial Door Systems contributes in the effort to help their customers to achieve LEED certification on their building projects by supplying a LEED letter for their customers to help them clearly calculate their LEED points on materials used.
