Innovative FireMaster duct systems are cost-effective, totally encapsulated, non-combustible, low bio-persistent, flexible, fireproofing wraps that are performance tested beyond minimum laboratory listings or code requirements. This assures fire containment, from the most complex duct designs to typical everyday duct systems.
The total encapsulation feature has a direct impact on the materials longevity and level of fire protection the wrap enclosure provides when a fire occurs. Other wraps on the market may substitute foil faced on one or both sides with edges of the fiber blanket exposed. These types of partially encapsulated wrap materials are vulnerable to wicking moisture, condensation or grease into the core fiber blanket that could cause degradation of the material, ultimately compromising the fire resistive properties of the wrap enclosure.
FireMaster Duct Systems are resistant to mold growth at test conditions of 75-95% relative humidity (ASTM D6329). Through an extensive battery of testing, FireMaster Duct Systems are listed with several national testing and model code agencies, including Underwriters Laboratories, Omega Point Laboratories, ICC-ES (ICBO, SBCCI, BOCA), California State Fire Marshal, MEA City of New York, International Mechanical Code, NFPA, and several major individual jurisdictions.

These FireMaster Access Doors combine the proven reliability of DuctMate® F2-HT high temperature doors and the fire tested performance of FireMaster FastWrap XL flexible enclosure wrap.
These pre-insulated and ready to install doors offer time and money savings versus the typical field fabricated access door, and provide more reliability for grease and fire containment.

Thermal Ceramics’ new FireMaster FastWrap XL is the thinnest and lightest flexible wrap material available that passes the ASTM E2336 test standard required by IMC 2006 and NFPA 96 for reduced clearance enclosure materials used to provide 1 or 2 hour fire rating for kitchen exhaust ducts. The FastWrap XL core blanket is manufactured using Thermal Ceramics’ patented Superwool® fiber, a 2000°F rated, non-combustible, alkaline-earth silicate wool with low-bio-persistence.
FastWrap XL is the product of extensive research and development resulting in breakthrough improvements in fiber technology with significant enhancements in thermal properties beneficial to fire protection applications. FastWrap XL, when used in combination with an approved fire stop sealant, provides an effective through penetration fire stop in rated floor and wall assemblies. FastWrap XL is UL classified and is part of UL’s Listing and Follow-Up Service Program to ensure the consistent quality essential to the critical nature of this life-safety application.

Building Codes require that materials exposed within plenums shall have a flame spread index of not more than 25 and a smoke developed index of not more than 50. Many plastic pipes and plastic coatings on electrical cables do not meet these requirements. Thermal Ceramics FireMaster PlenumWrap+ is a thin, lightweight, and flexible wrap material tested and laboratory listed to UL 1887, NFPA 262 (UL910), and ASTM E84 to reduce flame spread and smoke development of plastic pipe and plastic insulated copper
cable installed in environmental air spaces (plenums).
PlenumWrap+ core blanket is manufactured using Thermal Ceramics’ patented Superwool® fiber, a 2000°F rated, non-combustible, alkaline-earth silicate wool with low bio-persistence. PlenumWrap+ is OPL (Intertek) Listed, and is part of both OPL’s and UL’s Listing and Follow-up Service Programs to ensure

Thermal Ceramics offers another innovation to our fire rated
enclosure line, the FastDoor duct access system. The
FastDoor system is comprised of a UL1978 tested and listed
duct access door and an ASTM E2336 tested and listed
enclosure cover plate. The duct access door is tested to be
grease and fire tight when immersed in a simulated grease
pan fire per UL1978. The access door is Union made and
under UL follow-up inspection to ensure the finest quality. An
included and ready to install insulated cover plate is
compatible with FireMaster FastWrap XL and Pyroscat Duct
Wrap XL installation on grease or air ducts, and is the only
single layer door enclosure system available. This single layer
of insulation is only 1-1/2 inches thick and provides zero
clearance to adjacent combustibles and 2-hour rating per the
stringent ASTM E2336 grease duct enclosure standard. The
FastDoor system provides for fast and simple installation
surpassing the requirements of NFPA 96 and the International

At 1 inch thick and 6 pound per cubic foot density, FireMaster
DryerWrap is 50% thinner, lighter, and appreciably more flexible
than any other alternative fire wraps currently available. The
optimized thickness and approved 1 inch compression or overlap
joints provide for significant installation cost and space savings.
