FireMaster® Duct Systems

Innovative FireMaster Duct Systems are flexible, fully encapsulated, non-combustible, low bio-persistent, cost-effective, fireproofing wraps that are performance tested beyond minimum laboratory listings or code requirements. This assures fire containment, from the most complex duct designs to typical everyday duct systems.

The total encapsulation feature has a direct impact on the materials longevity and level of fire protection and the wrap enclosure provides when a fire occurs. Other wraps on the market may substitute foil faced on one or both sides with edges of the fiber blanket exposed. These types of faced or partially encapsulated wrap materials are vulnerable to wicking moisture, condensation or grease into the core fiber blanket that could cause degradation of the material, ultimately compromising the fire resistive properties of the wrap enclosure.

Thermal Ceramics FireMaster® FastWrap XL is a flexible blanket composed of high temperature low bio-persistent fibers classified for applications to 2192F (1200C) and fully encapsulated in a durable glass fiber reinforced foil facing for easy handling and installation.

Duct Access Door - FastDoor XL

The FastDoor XL Access Doors is comprised of a UL1978 tested and listed duct access door and an ASTM E2336 tested and listed enclosure cover plate. FastDoor XL is tested to be grease and fire tight when immersed in a simulated grease pan fire per UL1978. The access door is Union made and under UL follow-up inspection to ensure the finest quality.

The only single layer system on the market, is only 1-1/2" (37.5mm) thick and provides zero clearance to adjacent combustibles and 2-hour rating per the stringent ASTM E2336 grease duct enclosure standard. FastDoor XL Access Door provides for fast and simple installation surpassing the requirements of NFPA 96 and the International Mechanical Code. Features

Dryer Venting - FireMaster® DryerWrap

FireMaster DryerWrap for application on dryer vent ductwork in multi-unit housing where fire compartmentalization and life safety are major concerns. FireMaster DryerWrap is tested and UL Listed for 1-hour fire resistance on light gauge construction up to 7" (175mm). diameter or 10" x 4" (250mm x 100mm) rectangular duct penetrating 1-hour rated wood joist gypsum floor, therefore providing Owners, Architects, and Engineers a viable and cost effective solution for safely routing dryer exhausts from the laundry room to the exit of the building.

FireMaster DryerWrap is 67% thinner, lighter, and appreciably more flexible than grease duct fire wraps currently available. The optimized thickness and approved 1in. compression or overlap joints provide for significant installation cost and space savings.

Plastic Pipe and Cable System Fire Protection - PlenumWrap®

Building Codes require that materials exposed within plenums shall have a flame spread index of not more than 25 and a smoke developed index of not more than 50. Many plastic pipes and plastic coatings on electrical cables do not meet these requirements.

Thermal Ceramics PlenumWrap+ is a thin, lightweight, and flexible wrap material tested and laboratory listed to UL 1887, NFPA 262 (UL910), and ASTM E84 to reduce flame spread and smoke development of plastic pipe and plastic insulated copper cable installed in environmental air spaces (plenums). PlenumWrap+ core blanket is manufactured using Thermal Ceramics' patented Superwool fiber, a 2192°F (1200°C) rated, non-combustible, alkaline-earth silicate wool with low bio-persistence. PlenumWrap+ is OPL (Intertek) Listed, and is part of both OPL's and UL's Listing and Follow-up Service Programs to ensure the consistent quality essential to the critical nature of this life-safety application.
