Overview:
The Steel Stud Manufacturers Association (SSMA) is the Chicago-area based trade association representing manufacturers of cold-formed steel framing membes including steel studs, track and joists. Formed in 1999 by a merger of the ML/SFA Division of NAAMM and the Metal Stud Manufacturers Association, the SSMA has standarddeized cold-formed steel nomenclature and design values for industry products and sponsors a Third Party Code compliance Certification Program for structural framing members.
