Overview:
The visionary glimpse of what EcoStar is today began in the early 1970’s with the development of the formulation for Starloy (Staroba Alloy). This base formula of recycled rubber and plastic is the foundation for the injection-molded roofing tiles that have become the leader in the synthetic roofing industry today.
The first Starloy tiles were compounded and molded by Staroba Plastics in 1993 working in conjunction with roofing contractors. The first synthetic slate tiles were sold in the U.S. in 1996.
In 2001, Carlisle SynTec Incorporated purchased the sales and marketing portion of EcoStar, eventually establishing it as part of Carlisle Residential. Now in 2010, the Staroba family brings all parts of the business – manufacturing, sales and marketing – home to Holland, NY as EcoStar LLC.
In addition to its history of manufacturing, EcoStar LLC has strong sales and marketing leadership who have been with the brand since 1998. EcoStar LLC continues to lead the market with their recycled slate and shake roofing tiles. Its well-known base of manufacturer’s representatives and distributors has been instrumental in the success of the product since its inception.
It is these exceptional roofing materials and specifications, a continued commitment to the environment and long-term relationship-based partnerships that will launch the new LLC as EcoStar is welcomed home.

Seneca Cedar Shake Tiles™
|
Seneca Shake offer the appearance of natural cedar shake while providing improved performance, protection and durability. Manufactured from recycled rubber and plastic, Seneca Shake tiles offer a highly durable, long-lasting alternative to traditional cedar shake roofing tiles. Like all EcoStar products, Seneca Shake offers Class 4 impact resistance and are available with a 50-year warranty and a 100 mph wind warranty. Unlike traditional wood shake, Seneca Shake tiles offering unique architectural opportunities for virtually any roofing system and are available in nine different colors: stone red, earth green, chestnut brown, cedar brown, mountain plum, smoke gray, federal gray, midnight gray and black. The tiles are also available in various sizes and thicknesses.

|

Manufactured in 20-foot-long by 10.5-inch-wide rolls, EcoVent offers improved coverage yet remains the industry's lightest rolled ridge vent. Because of its lightweight characteristics, EcoVent provides easy handling and installation. Adding to EcoVent's ease-of-use are the stainless steel EcoStar roofing nails that come standard with EcoVent, eliminating the purchase of additional materials. Nova
|
NOVA Walkway Pads interlock to form a high-performance roofing walkway system. The pads are manufactured using a proprietary polymer composed of 100 percent recycled, post-industrial rubber and plastic. NOVA Walkway Pads provide a non-absorbent, skid-resistant surface that offers enhanced durability and impact resistance. Featuring an open octagon grid design, NOVA Walkway Pads eliminate ponding liquid, allowing the free flow of liquids below the pads. With a unique interlocking design, the pads are easy to install and provide increased resistance to water, oils and chemicals, offering maximum product life and traction durability.

Glacier Guard
|
Glacier Guard is a self-adhering sheet membrane designed to provide superior protection for roofing substrates. Available in smooth-surface, high-temp smooth surface and granular surface, Glacier Guard offers enhanced protection against moisture penetration from wind-driven rain and water backup caused by ice dams.

Composed of stainless steel, EcoStar Fasteners provide superior strength and resistance to corrosion, staining and leaking. Available in coil smooth shank, hand drive smooth shank and ring shank designs, EcoStar Fasteners offer a tensile strength between 125,000 and 145,000 pounds per square inch, with an ultimate lateral load that is nearly 20% higher than that of traditional steel fasteners. While their standard length is 1-1/2", EcoStar Fasteners are available in various lengths upon request.
