In the last ten years, MacroAir has established its HVLS fan as one the most functional air circulating fans to come along in the history of mechanical air movement. In fact a 3rd generation, family-owned company in the air movement industry described the high volume, low speed (HVLS) fan as “the best thing to come along in 70 years”.

The Airvolution HVLS fan for residential and commercial use is built around MacroAir’s Direct Drive Technology that features only an electric motor. The technology extends the life of the product as it eliminates the gearbox, a point of failure that reduces fan life due to metal-to-metal contact. The only mechanical contact in the new Direct Drive are the bearings, which MacroAir developed for extended product life. The new Direct Drive Technology extends the expected life of the fan, improves energy efficiency, and offers silent operation. Fan diameters range from eight-feet to sixteen-feet. MacroAir will begin shipping the new fans in early 2012.

MacroAir has taken its 10 years of experience designing HVLS fans and combined our already highest CFM per watt fan with solar technology. The MacroVoltaic boasts virtually infinite efficiency as it’s powered solely by the sun!

The MacroVoltaic’s air movement system includes the HVLS fan with an attached controller, a specialized component that converts power from the solar panels, standard remote control and an optional auxiliary power supply.

Used as a stand-alone solar fan, the MacroVoltaic system is ideal for people who are looking for energy alternatives or who are unable to run traditional AC power sources to remote locations and who are using the fans primarily during daylight hours.

When used in conjunction with the auxiliary power supply, the MacroVoltaic fan can be used when sunlight is not available to power the system – ensuring you always have a power source available to run the system.

The ECOVI Guard fan is the most energy efficient industrial shop fan on the market, operating at only 3/8 horsepower with the lowest kW draw (.265kW). As a result of its size and portablility, the ECOVI can be used anywhere that a small, powerful fan is needed – indoors or out. Mount it on a pole, a wall or a stand for the ultimate in versatility.

The ECOVI produces up to 29,551 cubic feet of air per minute, more than any other fan in its class, and yet operates for less than 25¢ per day. Eliminates multiple HVLS fans, costs pennies to operate

In 1998, founder Walt Boyd was challenged to help create an efficient system to cool dairy cattle. The problem: dairy cattle stop eating when they suffer from heat stress. When cows don’t eat, milk production slows or comes to a halt.

Small, high-speed fans helped, but they didn’t cover a wide enough area. They are also less efficient, consume excessive and costly energy, and require ongoing maintenance. Walt’s solution? A large, slow moving overhead barn fan with 10 airfoil blades that incorporated design characteristics developed at NASA.

Since then, MarcoAir has refined HVLS fan technology. Our new, Six-Blade HVLS Series fans deliver improved efficiency for significant cost savings. The Airvolution™ high volume low speed (HVLS) fan works by generating a large column of air that gently flows down to the ground and outward 360 degrees. MaxAir™ HVLS Industrial Fan: Improve air circulation, lower energy costs

If you have a large, industrial or commercial warehouse, our Six-Blade Series MaxAir industrial fan will help improve your air circulation while significantly lowering energy costs.

Designed to move larger amounts of air, the MaxAir high volume, low speed (HVLS) industrial fan generates a large column of air that flows down to the ground and outward 360 degrees. The large, slow-moving air mass moves through the space, effectively mixing and circulating the air, creating a more pleasant environment.

One 24 foot, two horsepower MaxAir fan generates 376,804 CFM and covers approximately 20,000 square feet. The cost to run this industrial fan for eight hours is about one dollar. The energy savings related to HVLS fan technology is amazing!
