soundproofing and acoustical materials
The Acoustiblok family of soundproofing products have been providing solutions to help our customers achieve their sound deadening objectives for over 20 years. Our trained staff is available for free consultations on the hundreds of types of noise pollution that occur indoors and outdoors across industrial, commercial, residential and transportation applications.
Acoustiblok, Inc. develops, manufactures and sells laboratory tested acoustical products and engineers soundproofing solutions that reduce noise to more tolerable and often times legal levels. Our unique and patented sound mitigation products solve commercial, industrial, residential, marine and transportation related noise problems.
We do more than simply sell "off the shelf" acoustical materials. We personally help you find the best acoustical solutions to your noise problem utilizing our proven products and our knowledgeable in-house sales consultants, engineers, and designers. We are proud to say that our products are "Made in the USA".

Industrial Facilities - The first and most important reason to control these noisy environments is for the safety of the workers and management at the sites. If workers misinterpret a directive, or are unsure of directions, an injury is imminent.
The next issue is productivity; it is medically proven that the human body is adversely affected by long durations of extreme sound pressure or noise. Our nervous systems cannot handle the stress this type of fatigue causes. If a worker is stressed, or fatigued, he is more likely to make a mistake or not work up to his full potential.
The third area of concern is surrounding residential areas. The noise from a facility twenty-four hours a day could and would drive someone crazy. If the noise level is too high in surrounding communities, they will complain and get the government involved. If this happens, it may also cause shut downs, and lack of productivity. At the end of the day, all of the above scenarios spell loss of revenue!
Acoustiblok is a U.L. Classified (UL # CLBV.R21490), viscoelastic polymer that comes in two forms. The first is Blok16, a 1/8th" thick sheet with a weight of 1 pound per square foot. The second is Blok32, a 1/4" thick sheet with a weight of 2 pounds per square foot. Both are made from recycled plastics and non-toxic minerals that are mixed and pressed into a membrane sheet.
These sheets are then trimmed to a standard size of 54" wide x 30' long and rolled up for easy transportation. The rolls weigh roughly 135 pounds each at this size. You can also order longer rolls ranging from 60' long (at 270 lbs.), to 350' long (at 1,575 lbs.), should you have a project with a larger area in need of treatment.
AcoustiFence is a flexible material. This yields coincidental gains in attenuation at those specific frequencies where rigid barriers have strong deficiencies. As a result you will see much higher levels of performance using Acoustifence than you would using typical construction materials. This also means that Acoustifence is a great solution compared to a wooden fence or any other type of reflective barrier.
The panels present an amazing profile of just 2". We produce them in four standard rectangular sizes, but can custom make them in any size, provided the shape is square or rectangular.
Any material with an NRC that is greater than 0.50 is considered to be sound absorbing. If the NRC is less than 0.20, the material is considered to be sound reflecting. If the material has an NRC rating of say 0.60, it would have about 40% reflections off of the material. As a result, NRC materials are typically used for reflection control in spaces with high Reflection or Reverb Times (RT's).
A reflective space can increase the overall volume of noise in that space exponentially! If a sound or noise is created in a space with lots of parallel-hard surfaces, the sound will linger for long periods of time. The problem is that if the sound or noise has a lot of intensity and goes on for long periods of time, sound/noise levels will get louder then the original source of the sound/noise itself. The only way to prevent this is to install materials that can absorb the sound/noise on the hard surfaces of the space. This brings us to our Quiet-Cloud, (QC-2).
Until the release of Acoustiblok Wallcover (AWC), there was no simple do-it-yourself (DIY) noise deadening or sound isolation solution with high performance that could be applied on top of an existing wall. AWC is like installing wallpaper! No dirty construction processes, no special permits from HOA's and it can be installed in a day. The most important aspect of AWC is that is has great performance as an enhancement to any pre-existing wall assembly. AWC has been laboratory tested and measured to give an STC53 when applied to a standard drywall/stud wall assembly, (like the typical wall in hotels, condo's, apartments, etc.).
