Overview:
Based in Biddeford, Maine, Correct Building Products is the manufacturer of CorrectDeck, a composite decking material made from 60% recycled hardwood sawdust and 40% polypropylene.
Correct Building Products was founded in 1999 by two extrusion industry veterans with the goal of manufacturing technically superior, durable and sustainable composite building products for outdoor living. CorrectDeck products, including CorrectDeck, CorrectDeck CX, Dimensional Composite Lumber (DCL) and RapidRail are made from a patented wood fiber-polypropylene formulation.
The company also manufactures custom profiles for the window and door industry. As a two-time winner of the Governor’s Waste Reduction Award, we use more than 300 tons of sawdust a week at our Biddeford plant, and ship our products worldwide. Correct Building Products, LLC was honored to be named to the Inc 500 in 2005 as one of the USA’s fastest growing private companies.

Why PVC-free is important to Correct Building Products:
PVC, or polyvinyl chloride, is a plastic commonly used in consumer products including building supplies, cars, toys and other goods. Correct Building Products has never used PVC in its products, including the ultra-low maintenance CorrectDeck CX. Many global companies, including Nike, Honda, Ikea and Mattel are switching to alternatives to this plastic.

CorrectDeck CX

CorrectDeck CX features Microban® anti-microbial protection that adds resistance to mold and mildew for ultra-low maintenance. Its co-extruded top layer fully encases the exposed wood fibers on the top and sides of each board providing added resistance to color fade and staining.

CorrectDeck’s polypropylene composite now includes antimicrobial protection, making it tough, more durable, and more resistant to staining from mold and mildew. It resists the scratching and marring so common with ordinary composite decking, and won’t splinter like wood. And it’s available with our hidden fastening system, for a clean-looking finish.

|
