metal composite panels
We’re one of the world’s leading manufacturers of aluminum and metal composite materials. Our light, rigid ACM and MCM panels have inspired new aesthetics and enabled new design possibilities over more than forty years of use. ALPOLIC® materials make a visible difference – from corner stations to city skylines.
ALPOLIC® materials are high-quality aluminum and metal composite panels manufactured in Japan, Germany and the United States. Our Chesapeake, Virginia facility began production in 1991 and continues to set the North American standard for innovation and quality. Our selection of colors and finishes is unmatched. Our manufacturing, distribution and support capabilities extend worldwide. Our commitment to you means success.
Skyscraper or schoolhouse? Office space or retail space? Dealership or gas station? Whatever you’re building, build it better with ALPOLIC® composite materials. Let’s Build.
ALPOLIC®/PE offers the rigidity of heavy-gauge sheet metal in a lightweight panel that's easy to fabricate and adaptable to a vast range of indoor and outdoor building applications. Our materials look better and last longer than competing composite panels or solid metal, delivering superior flatness, vibration damping, durability and ease of maintenance. They also offer far more choice so you can get composite panels with the perfect finish, color and design at a very competitive price.
Fire safety is important for any building project, and a fire-retardant panel is typically required in buildings that exceed a minimum height as specified by applicable codes. ALPOLICALPOLIC®/fr is one of the most advanced fire-retardant materials available and is IBC-listed to ensure compliance with many fire codes worldwide. Offered in an extensive choice of attractive options, this affordable material is one of the most popular choices for exterior fire-retardant cladding seen in many landmark projects around the globe.
The anodized reflective aluminum panel bonded to the surface of ALPOLIC®/RF provides a high degree of reflectivity without the liabilities of traditional reflective materials. These highly polished reflective aluminum panels are thinner, lighter in weight and easier to fabricate and mount and they're shatterproof. They're perfect for any application where high reflectivity is required for the beauty or function of the project, but where the weight, inflexibility, fabrication difficulty or breakability of other reflective materials would be a problem.
For exterior cladding and other applications exposed to the most extreme conditions, no other aluminum composite materials offer the performance of ALPOLIC®/HD. While our classic ALPOLIC®/PE panels use 0.020" aluminum skins, ALPOLIC®/HD features 0.032" aluminum skins bonded to both sides of a polyethylene or fire-resistant core for exceptional strength and rigidity. Overall panel thickness is unchanged from our standard panels, making these heavy duty panels easy to use with your standard fabrication processes and fastening systems.
Why ALPOLIC® Brake Metal
When using an ordinary cladding system, it can be difficult to get an acceptable color match for roof caps, flashing, fascia trim and other complex forms that are specified for the project. ALPOLIC® Brake Metal provides a perfect match for many of our most popular ACM panel finishes, including solid colors, micas and metallics. Custom panel colors can also be matched when the aluminum Brake Metal material is included in the custom panel order.
Museum exhibits, retail displays, wayfinding signs, gas station canopies, retail fascia, architectural signage all have their unique material requirements. Whether lightweight or high-performance, indoor or outdoor, painted or printed, GRAPHIC-AL has an aluminum composite material designed to handle the job beautifully. And with exceptional flatness, rigidity, stability and durability, GRAPHIC-AL materials will keep your architectural signage, canopies and displays looking great for years to come.
Copper panels evolve and weather to a rich patina, adding beauty and depth to any building faade. Zinc panels offer an elegant matte patina. Titanium and stainless steel panels convey an image of high-tech sophistication like nothing else. Our natural metal finishes delivers the opulence of genuine metal at a fraction of the weight and cost of solid sheet alternatives.
Sustainability begins with our own manufacturing processes, maximizing the use of recycled materials while maintaining the highest standards of product quality. Our PE core products the finest available architectural panels of their kind contain virtually 100 percent recycled materials. We also actively work to reduce our energy consumption, reduce the raw materials used in all our product lines, and capture production waste for reuse or recycling.
To continuously evaluate and advance our efforts, we have a Sustainability Manager on staff. It's a full-time position dedicated to overseeing the effects of our products and processes on nature and humankind a role found in few if any other companies in our industry.
Sustainability endures in the buildings that feature our products. The Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) requires an SRI value of 29 or greater for steep-slope roofs to earn a "Cool" rating, and many of our Architectural stock colors meet this requirement. We provide the Solar Reflectance Index for all architectural stock finishes to help you make the best choice for energy efficient, sustainable architecture. We also provide LEED Contribution Data Sheets to help you calculate the credits your building earns toward LEED certification for sustainable architecture.
Sustainability comes full circle with our Operation Encore program. Operation Encore makes it easy for you to recycle ALPOLIC® materials when buildings are renovated and re-clad. ALPOLIC® materials are virtually 100 percent recyclable, and through Operation Encore we'll accept used materials, separate them, and place the components in the appropriate industry recycling streams.
