Overview:
The natural light fixture from America's leader in high-performance Prismatic Daylighting Solutions
Sunoptics Prismatic Skylights is a national leader in high-performance daylighting. Our single-minded mission is to harness the power of the sun to maximize the cost-effective energy savings of daylighting. Sunoptics optimizes lighting performance through prismatic lenses that provide the maximum amount of light transmittance while maintaining 100% diffusion which eliminates undesirable hot spots, glare and UV damage to the daylighted space.
Sunoptics manufactures all of it’s own plastic with it’s state-of-the-art extrusion equipment. This provides us the ability to control the light transmission capability of our plastics while maintaining the highest level of product quality in the industry. No other skylight manufacturer has this capability. Our state-of-the-art Photometric Lab as well as a multitude of third party testing confirms real-world performance of all our products.

LightCube
|
The LightCube is the latest innovation in high performance prismatic daylighting from Sunoptics designed for interior drop ceiling applications. Built on our patented Signature Series prismatic dome designed to maximize light transmission with 100% diffusion, the LightCube's drop well utilizes the latest in spectrally reflective metal technology coupled with our proprietary prismatic diffusing lenses for the most effective daylighting solution available.
The LightCube provides increased flexibility and seamless integration for all drop ceiling applications while providing more visible light transmission and diffusion than tubular daylighting products. This means more hours of lights off per day with glare free natural light for the occupants.

Sunoptics is the pioneer of a unique concept in skylight design—prismatic skylights. No other skylight lets in more natural light, while providing the optimum level of diffusion for 100% glare free distributed light. The result is a soft yet bright natural light that illuminates more efficiently over a wider area of the room, for more hours of the day, optimizing the reduction of electric lighting usage.

Like a dimmable light fixture, Light Control Louvers can be closed to darken a daylighted room. Lighting Control Louvers provide total control of daylight for building occupants in commercial, educational and institutional spaces.
Our Light Control Louvers give you complete control over the amount of light you let into your environment. There are three models to choose from, including a manual controlled louver, and an electrically controlled louver.

Low voltage solutions that maximize energy savings by interfacing with a multitude of electric lighting systems
- Optimizes energy savings from daylight harvesting
- Increases lamp and ballast life of electric lighting systems
- Reduces air conditioning loads by shutting electric lighting off
- Brings projects in compliance with ASHRAE 90.1 energy standards
|
The concept of daylight harvesting is simple. Digital photo sensors detect daylight levels and automatically adjust the output level of electric lighting to create a balance. The goal is energy savings. Daylight harvesting is the buzz word in the controls industry right now. Why? Studies indicate that electric lighting energy use can be reduced as much as 84% through the use of an integrated daylighting control system. Until now, there have been barriers to wide-spread acceptance of daylight harvesting. This is due in part to complications associated with commissioning.
