Overview:
Accelerated Building Technologies was formed by two leading building materials manufacturers, combining the talent, resources and knowledge of Dietrich Metal Framing, a Worthington Industries Company and NOVA Chemicals. Utilizing Dietrich’s expertise in cold-formed steel framing and NOVA Chemicals’ knowledge of expandable polystyrene (EPS) insulation, Accelerated Building Technologies has developed the accel-E™ Steel Thermal Efficient Panel (S.T.E.P.) wall system to streamline the construction process and improve thermal performance.

accel-E
|
Combining the strength and performance of cold-formed steel framing with the superior insulation properties of expanded polystyrene (EPS), the accel-E Steel Thermal
Efficient Panel is a high-performance building product that is strong, lightweight, energy efficient and cost-efficient. The accel-E STEP wall system simplifies multiple installation processes into one, resulting in reduced labor costs and shortened construction cycles. In addition the accel-E wall system is ideal for demising walls in factories and warehouses.

Cost Effective
Because the engineers and designers of ACCELERATED Building Technologies work with your plans, the entire system is pre-cut to the specific requirements of your project. That means there is minimal waste. You pay for only what you need while virtually eliminating disposal costs. In addition, since the a accel-E STEP wall system simplifies framing, insulation and sheathing to one process, you
can benefit from less overhead and shorter construction cycles.
Faster Installation Time
Lightweight and easy to handle, accel-E STEP wall system is specially designed for your project, so the panels install fast… in fact, one crew can handle the entire job. Factory-cut window and door openings with pre-cut and preassembled headers and jambs are provided. Panels include pre-punched openings for electrical and plumbing mechanicals.
Energy Efficient
The accel-E STEP wall system has been designed to provide exceptional energy efficiency, helping lower heating and cooling costs while virtually eliminating unwanted air infiltration and drafts.
Reduces Construction Defects and Callbacks
Unlike conventional construction techniques that can lead to shrinking and twisting, accel-E STEP wall system combines proven steel framing technology with the strength of expanded polystyrene. This unique union of time-tested materials provides a stiffer, more rigid construction and stronger screw retention, so walls are consistently straight during construction, and throughout the life of the structure.
Green
The a accel-E STEP wall system provides Green Building advantages by being environmentally friendly, energy efficient, sustainable and recyclable. It is also a contributor to LEED® points.
Fire Resistance
Improved fire resistance over wood framing.
Resists Mold, Termites, Other Insects and Rodents
Unlike wood and other organic materials, the accel-E STEP wall system resists mold, termites, other insects or rodents, and won’t rot or decay.
