Overview: ISIMET is committed to providing quality safety products for use in the laboratory classrooms of our Nation's Public Schools. Placing special emphasis on Student and Instructor safety is the focal point around which we development our Utility Controller Safety Control System.
Our innovative Utility Controller provides not only a safe instructional environment for the Student but likewise a safe work place for the Instructor. "Viewing the ability to cope with emergencies from two prospective views, response and prevention." - we believe that our Safety System uniquely addresses both concerns in ways that are often overlooked by other designs and products.
We at ISIMET feel that our concepts for Public School laboratory safety control devices will become more than that of an optional convenient control apparatus, but rather a standard whereby future classroom design is based.
The Utility Controller is a Safety Device that regulates the control of various utility services and devices such as domestic water, natural gas, and electrical outlets within a science classroom, other instructional facilities, research and medical facilities. The solid state electronic controller provides an electronic signal to relays that in turn provide electrical current to relays and contacts, activating the utility service.
The brushed stainless steel finish on the 2000 Series offers a distinct appearance and is ideally suited for institutional applications. The Controller is available with all features and mounting variations common with other units.
This new series of the Utility Controller has similar functions of our 1000 and 2000 Series except that this unit provides more output amperage for applications where output demands are anticipated to exceed the maximum output rating of our standard unit. Integration and configuration features on the 1000 Series are available on the unit.
The Remote Operation feature of our new LS Series Utility Controller enables the Instructor to activate the Panic State or disable a service from anywhere within the classroom.
This LS Series of the Utility Controller features the same configurations and options as the Standard Controller with the added capability of "Line of Sight Remote Radio Frequency" Operation with the Hand-Held Control. The remote signal operates easily within normal classroom sizes with a range of approximately 100 ft. Each Controller is coded individually so that signals among the various units within a facility do not interfere with other systems or units. Units can be easily re-coded in the case of lost Hand-Held Remote Controls. Radio signals such as door operators will not interfere with operation.
The 5000 / 6000 Series Utility Controllers can be utilized to control multiple utility services, gases and electrical convenience outlets that are commonly used in either educational, research or medical facilities. The 5000 / 6000 Series Utility Controller can be fitted with 4 - 9 output switches depending on the requirements. This series of the Utility Controller is also ideally suited for use in the shop classrooms to activate such devices as table saws, grinders, and other power tools in the classroom. This Series can be custom expanded up to 20 output circuits.
The RA Controller is designed to meet the needs of a school that wishes to upgrade the present control of the science classroom utilities without refurbishing the entire room.
This RA Series of the Utility Controller features many of the same configurations and options as the Standard Controller but is designed to provide ease in retrofit situation. Intended as an upgrade to present control of the science classroom utilities without the refurbishing of the entire room.
The LA Series Controller operates as a single or dual output controller where the application does not require the positive remote enabling authority or monitoring capabilities typically anticipated when specifying our Standard Utility Controller. The unit conforms to all requirements of UL 508-A for Industrial Control Panels. All provided Remote Operators such as solenoid valves and relays are UL Listed.
The FLA Series Controller operates as a dual output controller to operate fuel gas outlets as well as electrical devices located within the kitchen in a Fire Station. Input terminals equipped with a delay function will turn OFF all connected appliances when a notification signal is received for a fire or other emergency response.
The ISIMET Laboratory Service Panel operates as a single output controller incorporating either a solenoid valve assembly or electrical contacts along with the digital switching mechanism within a single enclosure. An internal junction box houses the 120-vac line voltage along with transformer and circuit board.
The Time Delay “OFF” Controller operates as a single output controller where the application requires restrictive activation of a utility with a delay “OFF” after first activation.
The E Series Enclosures are pre-assembled and wired enclosures intended for use with the ISIMET Utility Controller. Each contact point utilizes a master relay to control electrical outlets in the science classroom.
The S Series Enclosures are pre-assembled enclosures intended for use with the ISIMET Utility Controller..
Each solenoid "station" is assembled with a threaded main ball valve cut-off and union fittings. All piping joints are tested for tightness. However, the union at each station is loose fit for ease in field installation. The stations are secured to aluminum strut supports by means of pipe clamps. Both inlet and outlet of the stations are plugged to prevent foreign matter from entering the system prior to installation.
These solenoids are rated for use with the Utility Controller when the installation procedures do not mandate a contained enclosure to house the solenoids. These solenoids are UL Recognized as companion components of the Utility Controller..
The unit is intended for installation into the shower’s supply piping, directly up-stream from the shower.
Activation of the shower automatically sends a Panic signal to the Utility Controller, thus placing the system into Panic.
The Remote Monitoring Station permits remote integration of the various ISIMET monitoring devices. Stations can operate as Stand-alone with components from other sources.
The LA - Series Remote Operator is a secondary control unit that, when companioned with Standard Controller, permits the same level of control for an appliance or secondary outlet device as the primary or master control unit without the necessity to provide a second power supply.
The Unit is intended for use as a sensor to detect raw fuel gas. Operating power is derived from an ISIMET Controller and transmits a signal back to the Controller when raw fuel gas is detected.
Time Control Unit provides the time sequencing feature common to systems that are integrated with a building automation or management system “ems”. Similar to those systems this unit includes a 7-day time switch that can be set to specific timing “ON” and “OFF” periods of operation.
The IP-0 assembly features an Emergency Shut-off button that may be integrated with our Utility Controller where the panic feature has been omitted from the door panel or where room configuration requires an additional panic button assembly to be wall mounted. Units are provided with J-Box and mounting hardware.
The Monitoring Light Array is a wall mounted light unit intended for use as a visual indicator that circuits of the Utility Controller system are active. The unit should be mounted conveniently on a wall at an elevation and location to permit all occupants to easily determine those services that are active. We recommend that the unit be mounted as high as reasonably feasible to avoid interference with occupant within the room.
Units are single light assemblies for mounting exterior of the classroom in a corridor. Mounting the unit at a classroom doorway will provide immediate acknowledgement to occupants in the corridor that a potential emergency exists within the room.
Use these Relays to connect devices for use with the ISIMET Utility Controller. Enclosures are available with relay and external switch (Model # IEx-R) or may be provided w/o the relay (Model # IEx). When ordering replace x with the number of relays needed in the enclosure.
