Dyson’s 650-strong Research, Design and Development department is made up of engineers, scientists and technicians design, develop and test new and different technology - the very lifeblood of Dyson. Environmentally responsible engineering is efficient engineering. Doing more with less. Creating machines that consume less energy and are made of fewer raw materials, but that are better performing. Our function-led approach to design supports this aim: each component contributes to the overall performance of the machine. Research and design is our bread and butter. We invest over $1.5 million per week towards the development of new technologies, designing machines that perform better and last longer.
