1620 Ultra CBF Insulation

Our rFOIL 1620 Ultra CBF series is made extra tough for over slabs (as a concrete underlayment) and under flooring. It provides exceptional thermal value and a strong, permanent vapor and radon barrier. Because radiant heat loss is reduced, floors are warmer and more comfortable. Ultra CBF consists of a single layer reflective sheet laminated between two layers of ultra-strong polyethylene bubble.

At a compression strength of 140 psi Ultra CBF is our recommended product to install beneath a concrete slab or as part of an in-floor radiant heating system to make it more efficient. Ultra CBF offers superior puncture resistance and tear strength and withstands job site traffic.

Ultra CBF conforms around plumbing, wiring and other obstructions and easily installs over any grade. Compared to rigid PE board insulation, Ultra CBF is easier to handle, cut, and install AND has nearly six times the compression strength.

Our rFOIL 2290 Standard Reflective Duct Insulation series consists of a double-layer of polyethylene bubble, bonded to and sandwiched between two radiant barrier sheets. Covertech has developed and tested two methods of installation which will yield thermal resistance of R-4.2 and R-6.0. Regardless of the suggested installation method chosen, 2290 is classified as Class 1/Class A in accordance with the ASTM E84-09 fire test standard. The product was mounted in accordance to ASTM-E2599-08.

rFOIL 2290 Standard Reflective Duct Insulation series is specially designed to provide a high thermal value with less product thickness in all residential and commercial duct applications. High compression resistance maintains thermal value.

2600 vs 2500

Both rFOIL 2500 series and rFOIL 2600 series employ a patented technology which consists of a layer of polyethylene bubble bonded to and sandwiched between a radiant barrier metalized foil and a white polyethylene sheet with washable UV-resistant facing. While rFOIL 2500 is covered under the Standard Warranty, rFOIL 2600 Series Warranty is separate.

rFoil is specifically designed to control heat gain or loss, while preventing interior condensation in both commercial and residential applications. The low moisture transfer improves the overall thermal performance of the building.

Serving two distinct purposes with the option of either perforated (3800P) or solid (3800S), rFOIL 3800 Reflective Radiant Barrier is either a revolutionary next generation house wrap or an effective vapor barrier.

Serving as a Reflective House Wrap, perforated 3800P offers the construction industry a strong weather-resistant barrier with the added benefit of a Radiant Barrier, a tested R-3.8 value (ASHRAE Handbook: 1997 Fundamentals), and a Perm. Rating of 22.

rFOIL 3800 Reflective Radiant Barrier 3800P has been referenced as "the next generation in house wrap technology". Acting not only as a superior air infiltration barrier, effectively sealing up cracks or gaps in the external sheathing, but also as a protective radiant barrier to the exterior of the home blocking up to 97% of radiant heat resulting in better year-round efficiency and comfort levels. Unlike other house wraps or insulating products that are traditionally used, rFOIL Reflective Radiant Barrier is non-toxic and its performance is not affected by extended exposure to the elements.

rFOIL 3800 Reflective Radiant Barrier is constructed of a single layer of 99.9% pure aluminum foil laminated to a formulated blend of polyethylene. 3800P is pin perforated; 3800S is not.

Solid 3800S serves as a vapor barrier.
