A Slinky® is suspended on elastic threads around itself. There is no reinforcement along its length. Thus making it free to move and remarkably flexible. The shape remains round. It never kinks, although the bending radius is minimal.
Similarly, PEX molecular chains extend around the tubing like the Slinky® string circles around itself. This makes Mr. PEX® Tubing extremely flexible and kink-resistant. The molecular chain is aligned to resist stress around its perimeter. It is unusually strong, resisting inside pressure.
The molecular orientation is achieved during extrusion which is a very unique process. Crosslinking occurs simultaneously with the orientation. Peroxide crosslinking guarantees optimal Tubing properties.
Mr PEX® Composite Pipe consists of five layers, inside and outside layers are made of Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PEX) tightly bonded with melt adhesive to the mid-layer of aluminum core which is longitudinally welded in an overlap.
All layers are extruded in one step. The middle layer of aluminum is 100% gas/oxygen tight, giving it advantages of both metal and plastic pipe, but not the disadvantages. The Pipe conforms to ASTM F 1281, is pressure rated by PPI and certifi ed by NSF. Since the thermal elongation and contraction is 9 times less than for PEX, noise generation after installation is virtually eliminated.
MrPEX® 1 1/4" Stainless Steel Manifold is made from high quality stainless steel, and is offered in 2 through 10 loops. The manifold is delivered pre-mounted on brackets and comes with thermometer wells on the supply and return body (ready for an optional thermometer), and end caps with fill/drain valves.
MrPEX® 1 1/2" Large Stainless Steel manifolds are made from high quality stainless steel and offered in 3 – 10 loop sections. The manifold body comes with G 1 1/4" flat gasket unions for connection to inlet ball valve G 1 ¼” x 1 ½” Female NPT and end caps with fill/drain valve. The branches comes with G 1” flat gasket unions to accommodate the on/off and balancing branch valves G 1” x EK 25 for easy connection with MrPEX EK 25 fitting assemblies (PEX to EK25 or PEX-AL-PEX to EK25) to connect tubing to the manifold. The branch Cv value is 6 gpm and the manifold body accommodates flows up to 25 gpm. Manifold body also is equipped with a manual air vent for purging.
MrPEX® 1 1/4” Brass Manifolds are made from high-quality
extruded brass and offered in 2–6 loop modular sections.
These sections are available in three different types; valved,
valveless and balancing with flow-meter.
Fixture spaces bend supports to match new Stainless Steel manifold. Great for rough-in phase to keep pipes organized during pour and allows for more professional appearance.
The Simple Zone Controller is designed for use with 2 or 3 wire MrPEX® thermostats to control up to 4 zones,
with up to 3 MrPEX® Thermal Actuators or Zone Valves connected to each zone terminal. Each zone controls
the associated actuator output terminal. Actuator terminals can use jumpers to extend the number of
actuators per zone. Controller comes with a factory installed internal fuse for protection. The end switch
circuit from the actuators output terminals is ganged through the controller for easy wiring. 24V power from
an external transformer of adequate VA is required.
