Varnish Preservative image

Varnish Preservative - BLOXYGEN

Problem: Oxygen or moisture sensitive products dry out, cure, and harden during storage. When we store these products, the oxygen or moisture that's sealed in the container continues to cure and thicken the product, eventually forming a skin over the top. This skin is wasteful, time consuming, and messy to remove. Sometimes, hardened particles can clog spray guns, run the final finish, or destroy the remaining liquid.

Solution: Simply, we need to prevent any oxygen or moisture from reacting with the product. By using a blanket of protective inert gas to purge the container, you can store your finish safely and use ALL your finish, not just the first half.

Fiberglass Cloth image

Fiberglass Cloth

System Three Resins offers a large selection of woven and nonwoven fabrics for general and special use. Most wooden boats require some woven cloth and perhaps tape. Wooden boats which use molded chine construction greatly benefit from the use of biaxial tape. Composite-cored boat builders use non-woven biaxial, triaxial, or unidirectional cloth for their hulls.

This cloth is the standard E glass volan-finished boat cloth from the very best weavers. A variety of widths and weights are available. Tapes and cloths have a selvedged edge so the edges dont get stringy or fray. Cloth rolls have a nominal length of 125 yards, but may vary.
