{{this.show}} {{this.hide}} LEEDŽ Points

LEED® Points

Allied Commercial means energy-efficient options.
Heating and cooling equipment designed to make a difference.
Short for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, LEED is a third-party independent certification program created to guide the construction, design and daily operation of environmentally conscious buildings.

LEED-certified buildings are designed to:
  • Lower operating costs and increase asset value
  • Reduce waste sent to landfills
  • Conserve energy and water
  • Be healthier and safer for occupants
  • Reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions
  • Qualify for tax rebates, zoning allowances and other incentives in hundreds of cities

LEED certification is based on 100 points distributed across five categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources and Indoor Environmental Quality. HVAC is one of the best areas in which to gather LEED points, with a number of available credit opportunities to achieve the highest LEED level of designation.

Buildings that are LEED certified will use energy more efficiently than standard buildings, and as a result often enjoy tax savings or other incentives for their smart energy use. Typically, the higher their LEED certification, the more incentives they receive.

The U.S. Green Building Council remains your primary source for LEED building education, including workshops, online training, reference guides and other tools to help you achieve success. To learn more about LEED and the U.S. Green Building Council new.usgbc.org/leed
