DURA SEAL
2000 ZC-2 Water Based Finish
PRODUCT
DESCRIPTION:
Dura Seal 2000 ZC-2 is a two-component,
urethane/acrylic wood floor finish formulated for all traffic
areas. The unique patented package allows for the crosslinker
bottle and the finish container to be sold as a single unit eliminating
the possibility of crosslinker not being available. The Dura Seal
2000 ZC-2 (zero contact, 2 component) system provides a safer
way to add crosslinker and avoids contact with undiluted crosslinker.
The crosslinker has a protective foil seal which is punctured
when inverted, then placed and turned in the Dura Seal
2000 ZC-2 patented dispensing spout. Dura SeaI
2000 ZC-2 is available in Semi-Gloss and Satin.

FINISH APPLICATION:
Directions for adding Crosslinker:
1) Remove crosslinker bottle from spout.
2) Remove cap from crosslinker bottle - DO NOT BREAK SEAL AT THIS
TIME.
3) Place inverted sealed bottle into spout and push down until
a "pop" is heard.
4) Turn the bottle approximately 1 revolution and let contents
empty into the finish.
5) Without removing the crosslinker bottle, replace finish cap
and invert finish container several times (10).
6) Remove empty crosslinker bottle.
Do not use without crosslinker. Crosslinked material must be used
within 48 hours or you have to re-crosslink. Do not re-crosslink
more than once. Do not re-crosslink less than one-half (1/2) gallon
of finish. Do not use re-crosslinked material past 48 hours.
DIRECTIONS:
Make sure material is at room temperature. A synthetic bar applicator
is recommended for even application of product, although a synthetic
brush or lambs wool applicator may also be used. Do not use the
same applicator that was used for the sealer. Best results are
obtained at ambient temperatures between 50°F and 90°F,
and at humidities below 80%. If applying to white oak, two coats
of DuraSeal
1000 Sealer is recommended.
1) Apply sealer per label directions.
2) Pour a 4"- 6" wide line of Dura SeaI
2000 ZC-2 Finish along the starting wall. Go with the direction
of the floor or grain.
3) Pull the finish with a clean, moistened applicator toward the
other wall with an angled, squeegee motion. As you approach the
wall, turn the applicator and pad out excess material parallel
to the wet edge. Feather all turns, stopping and starting points.
4) Allow finish to dry 2-3 hours before applying next coat.
5) Before applying second coat, buff with a medium grit (maroon)
pad to achieve a smoother final finish. Note: Buffing is not required
for intercoat adhesion unless the previous coat has cured 24 hrs.
or more.
6) Apply a second coat in the same manner as the first.
7) If floor was not stained apply a third coat. Before applying,
clean entire floor with a dust mop moistened with Dura
Seal Hardwood Floor Cleaner.
8) Apply additional Coat(s) if desired.
SCREEN AND RECOAT:
1) Apply initial coat and allow to dry 2-3 hours. (See application
procedure #2 above).
2) If desired, buff with a medium grit (maroon) pad for a smoother
final finish. Vacuum and tack thoroughly.
