	1.4	QUALITY ASSURANCE

	1.5	DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** The manufacturer recommends that products be inspected for freight damage upon receipt and that damaged product not be accepted and the manufacturer notified immediately.
		A.	Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.

	1.6	WARRANTY
		A.	The structural integrity of all site furnishings shall be warranted for a period of 5 years from date of delivery against defects in materials and workmanship except for finishes of any kind.

	2.23	FABRICATION
		A.	Steel shall be wheelabrated, drilled and formed for quick assembly and shall conform to ASTM A 36 hot rolled steel.
		B.	Trash receptacle and planter top rims shall be fabricated from spun steel.
		C.	Dome tops shall be fabricated from spun steel, or galvanized steel.
		D.	Cast end frames shall be fabricated from ductile cast iron.
		E.	Wood members shall be fabricated from; Ipe hardwood, clear vertical grain Douglas Fir, or clear Red Cedar.
		F.	Plastic members shall be fabricated from recycled plastic made from purified high-density polyethylene with UV inhibitors to reduce fading.
	2.24	FINISHES
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select from the following metal finish options. Select either powder coat finish or hot dip galvanized finish for metals, not both. Do not use powder coating over hot dip galvanized finish.
		A.	Metal Finishes: The protective color coating shall be either polyester or polyester TGIC powder finish applied by the dry electrostatic process. Following application, the metal parts shall be baked until properly cured. This coating shall be a minimum of four mils thick on all surfaces.
		B.	Metal Finishes: Following fabrication all metal materials shall be hot dip galvanized to standard ASTM A 123, 3 to 4 mils thick.
		C.	Wood Finishes: All wood members for exterior use shall be treated with a clear wood preservative unless otherwise specified. All wood members for interior use shall be treated with Danish oil.
		D.	Recycled Plastic: Standard colors are cedar, gray, and weathered wood.
	PART 3	EXECUTION
	3.1	EXAMINATION
		A.	Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
		B.	If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
	3.2	PREPARATION
		A.	Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
		B.	Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
	3.3	INSTALLATION
		A.	Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
		B.	Embedded mounting. Material is to be extended a minimum of 12 inches (305 mm) below finish surface and cast in concrete.
		C.	Surface mounting. Locate and drill holes for anchor bolts. Anchor bolts provided by others.
	3.4	PROTECTION
		A.	Protect installed products until completion of project.
		B.	Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
