          B.Truss Type: prefabricated reinforcement for embedment in the horizontal mortar joints of masonry. Manufactured in 10 foot lengths from wire, it conforms to ASTM A82 for cold drawn steel wire. It consists of two or more parallel and deformed longitudinal wires welded to a continuous diagonal cross wire at 16 inches (406mm) on center. Out-to-out spacing is approximately 2 inches (51mm) less than the nominal thickness of the wall.

          2.4Mortar Suspension
 
          A.Mortar-Net: Durable mesh placed on top of the flashing inside the cavity to suspend mortar droppings above weep holes and flashing. Dovetail shape prevents the mortar from forming a continuous dam and allows water and air to move rapidly and easily to the weeps.

          D.Fiberweb Tape: For repair of punctures in the flashing. Each 2 inch (51mm) wide roll contains 108 lineal feet (32.9m).
 
          E.Aqua-Flash 500: 8 mil cross laminated, high density polyethylene waterproofing membrane bonded to 32 mils of rubberized asphalt for a total thickness of 40 mils. Roll widths available from 12 inches to 36 inches (305mm to 914mm).
 
          F.Copper Fabric Flashing: Two layers of dense glass fabric and special blended asphalt are laminated to a copper core to produce greater tensile strength and improved puncture resistance. Rolls are 36 inches (914mm) wide. Available in 2, 3, 5 or 7 oz. per square foot.
 
          2.6Specialty Masonry Products
 
          A.Plumb-Rite: T-shaped PVC product that keeps vertical joints in precise alignment where control joints and expansion joints are used.
 
          B.Radius Wire: Curved system providing continuous wall reinforcement of truss or ladder design in curved walls of any composition.
 
          C.Stone Tab: Adjustable masonry system for use with natural or manufactured stone, incorporating horizontal joint truss reinforcement with a tab, a 1/4 inch (6mm) rod and either triangular or rectangular ties that can adjust with a natural coursing of stone.
 
          D.Horizontal Expansion Joint: 1/4 inch (6mm) tall by 2 3/4 inch (70mm) deep by 50 feet (15.25m) long closed cell neoprene expansion joint with adhesive on one side. Compressible up to 50%. Conforms to ASTM D 1056.
 
          E.Vertical Expansion Joint: 3/8 inch x 3 inch x 50 foot (10mm x 76mm x 15.25m) long closed cell neoprene expansion joint with no adhesive. Compressible up to 50%. Conforms to ASTM D 1056.
 
          2.7Accessories
 
          A.Climaseal Screws: corrosion resistant fasteners available with EPDM washers. #10 and #12 sizes available with lengths from 1 1/2 inches (38mm) to 3 inches (76mm).
 
          B.Control Joints: PVC compound with an 80 durometer hardness conforming to ASTM D 2240. For use in solid or cavity masonry wall construction at pilasters, columns or other joints.
 
          C.Glass Block: Ladder type reinforcing wire. Distance between longitudinal wire is 1 5/8 inches (41mm) or 2 inches (51mm) and cross wires are located 8 inches (203mm) apart.
 
          D.Panel Anchors: 20 gauge perforated strips provide support to standard glass block panels. 1-3/4 inches (19mm) by 24 inches (610mm).
 
          E.Partition Top: Provides lateral shear resistance at upper limit of walls. Permits vertical movement of slab above, without transferring compression loads to wall below.
 
          F.PVC Flashing: Laboratory-compounded non-reinforced poly vinyl chloride sheet of specified gauges and widths.
 
          G.Rebar Positioners: Rebar keepers available in 9 ga. or 3/16 inch (5mm) diameter.
 
          H.Rigid Steel Ties: 1/4 inch (6mm) or 1/8 inch (3mm) thick steel. 1 inch (25mm) through 2-1/2 (63.5mm) widths, in various lengths and shapes.
 
          I.Weepholes/Vents: Allows moisture to leave the wall and not re-enter. Protective strips on top prevent mortar droppings from clogging opening. Fits varying joint widths from 5/16 inch to 3/4 inch (8mm to 19mm) and available in 2 1/2 inch (64mm), 2 13/16 inch (72mm) and 3 7/16 (87mm) inch sizes.

          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
 
          B.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
 
          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
 
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
 
          3.4PROTECTION
 
          A.Protect installed products until completion of project.
