It is resistant to acid and alkali present in fresh mortar mix and is non-absorbent. Material is shaped in a "U" configuration on the jobsite to fill the cavity and allow moisture to weep at both inner wall surfaces.
2.Properties as tested in accordance with ASTM D 5035:
          a.Tensile strength:
          1)Roll direction: 285 PSI minimum.
2)Cross roll direction: 310 PSI minimum.

          1)Roll direction: 60 percent.
          2)Cross roll direction: 55 percent.
** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select Concrete block core screen if required for the project and delete if not required. Grout Catch is a strong, lightweight, and economical polypropylene mesh screen that prevents mortar overflow and seepage from designated CMU block cores that are filled with mortar. The mesh design inherently strengthens the bonding alliance in the mortar and also allows for greater bonding of the masonry anchor in hollow wall construction.
