	1.4	SUBMITTALS
		A.	Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
		B.	[ Product Data ]: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
			1.	Preparation instructions and recommendations.
			2.	Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
			3.	Installation methods.
		C.	Shop Drawings: Provide manufacturer's approved shop drawings for all flashing conditions and construction methods found on the project.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete selection samples if colors have already been selected.
		D.	Selection Samples: For each finish product specified, two complete sets of color chips representing manufacturer's full range of available colors and patterns.
		E.	Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square, representing actual product, color, and patterns.
	1.5	QUALITY ASSURANCE
		A.	Manufacturer Qualifications: Products listed in this section shall be provided by a single manufacturer with at least ten (10) years experience in manufacturing waterproofing components.
		B.	Installer Qualifications: Products listed in this section shall be installed by a single organization certified by the manufacturer or demonstrate at least five (5) years experience successfully installing waterproofing products on projects of similar type and scope as specified in this section.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the key types of work on the project.
		C.	Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.
			1.	Finish areas designated by Architect.
			2.	Do not proceed with remaining work until workmanship, color, and sheen are approved by Architect.
			3.	Refinish mock-up area as required to produce acceptable work.
	1.6	DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
		A.	Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
		B.	Store and dispose of solvent-based materials, and materials used with solvent-based materials, in accordance with requirements of local authorities having jurisdiction.
	1.7	PROJECT CONDITIONS
		A.	Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.
	1.8	WARRANTY
		A.	Provide products that are guaranteed with respect to uniformity and quality within printed specifications.
		B.	At project closeout, provide to the owner an executed copy of the manufacturers limited warranty protecting the applicator from delamination caused by manufacturing defect for a period of five (5) years.

	2.4	REINFORCEMENT MATERIALS
		A.	Polyester Mat: Stichbonded polyester fabric meeting or exceeding the following physical properties:
			1.	Weight: 2.75 ounces (78 g) per square yard (0.84 sm).
			2.	Tensile Strength (fd/td): 31.6 Lbf (140.6).
			3.	Elongation: 40.6 percent.
			4.	Mullen Burst: 99.6 Lbf (443N).
			5.	Tear Strength: 13.2 Lbf (58.7 N).
		B.	Fiberglass Mesh:
			1.	Count: 20 x 10 Leno Weave, Visual Count: 12 x 6.
			2.	Yarn:
				a.	Warp: 37 1/0 0.7z ECH.
				b.	Fill: ECK 1800 yd/lb. roving.
			3.	Tensile Strength: 150 Lbs x 150 Lbs (68kg x 68kg) per inch (25.4mm) of width.
			4.	Weight: 4.5 oz. (127.5g) per square yard (0.84 sm).
			5.	Thickness: 0.0135 inches (0.3mm).
		C.	Metal Lath: Flat diamond steel mesh, minimum 2.5 lb/sy (1.37 kg/sm). Meeting or exceeding the requirements of ASTM C847.
	PART 3	EXECUTION
	3.1	EXAMINATION
		A.	Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
		B.	If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
	3.2	PREPARATION
		A.	Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation. Surfaces shall be free of all grease, oil, paint, dirt, dust, sealers, or other foreign materials that may hinder proper bonding.
		B.	Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete the following paragraph if no plywood surfaces are specified
		C.	Inspect all plywood substrates for loose or backed out fasteners. Remove and replace as required.
		D.	Inspect surfaces for proper drainage. Feather edge all ponding water conditions as recommended by manufacturer's instructions.
	3.3	GENERAL APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
		A.	Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
		B.	Do not install when temperatures are outside of the manufacturer's recommended limits.
		C.	Install only when forecasted weather permits. Do not install during inclement weather.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete the next paragraph if Colorseal or Clearseal is not required.
		D.	Follow manufacturer's instructions for sealer application. Apply in two thin coats.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete the next Article if the Parking Garage System is not specified.
	3.4	PARKING GARAGE
		A.	Repair all cracks with Speed Bond, following manufacturer's application requirements.
		B.	Embed all flashing details and substrate seams with polyester mesh between two coats of Mulasticoat as specified in current application instructions.
		C.	Apply base coat and intermediate coats of Krete Kote 2000 with a roller, trowel or squeegee. Allow to set at least 1 to 2 hours between coats.
		D.	Apply texture coat with a trowel or hopper gun depending on the desired finish texture. Allow to cure at least 12 hours before allowing foot traffic and 72 hours before allowing vehicular traffic.
		E.	Follow manufacturer's instructions for sealer application. Apply in two thin coats.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete the next Article if the Interior Waterproofing System is not specified.
	3.5	INTERIOR WATERPROOFING
		A.	Embed all flashing details and substrate seams with polyester mesh between two coats of Mulasticoat as specified in current application instructions.
		B.	Allow to dry at least 24 hours before application of Scratch Kote 2000.
		C.	Inspect surface for pinholes or other imperfections. Recoat areas as necessary to attain a fully waterproof monolithic membrane.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete the next paragraph if Scratch Kote 2000 Surfacing is not required.
		D.	Clean surface thoroughly and apply Scratch Kote 2000 in a full and even coating and allow at least 24 to 48 hours curing time.
	3.6	PROTECTION
		A.	Protect installed products until completion of project.
		B.	Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
