			1.	Type: Copper Sealtite 2000 copper fabric laminated flashing as manufactured by Advanced Building Products, Inc consisting of a copper core with each side covered with a layer of dense glass fabric laminated to the core with a non-asphaltic adhesive.
			2.	Characteristics: Waterproof, flexible, high tensile strength, resistant to mortar acid and alkali action, allowing minimum thermal cold flow through structure, and textured surface promoting mortar joint bonding.

	2.3	PLASTIC FLASHING
		A.	Plastic Masonry Flashing: Gray Seal Masonry Flashing as manufactured by Advanced Building Products, Inc. Gray seal is a UV resistant plastic sheet, 40 mils thick flashing with the following properties.
			1.	Physical Properties:
				a.	Thickness 40 mils when tested in accordance with ASTM D 1593.
				b.	Tensile Strength MD 2300 psi minimum when tested in accordance with ASTM D 882.
				c.	Dimensional Stability 3.0 percent at 212 degree for 15 minutes when tested in accordance with ASTM d 1204.
				d.	Low Temperature Bend, pass at minus 40 degrees F when tested in accordance with ASTM D 2136.
			2.	Roll width:
				a.	12 inches (305 mm).
				b.	16 inches (406 mm).
				c.	18 inches (457 mm).
				d.	20 inches (508 mm).

	2.4	RUBBERIZED ASPHALT FLASHING
		A.	Rubberized Asphalt Flashing: Peel-N-Seal Extra Strength Flashing as manufactured by Advanced Building Products, Inc. Peel-N-Seal is a 40 mil thick membrane consisting of a 32 mil self-adhering rubberized asphalt laminated to an 8 mil high-density polyethylene film. A siliconized release liner prevents the product from sticking to itself in the roll.
			1.	Physical Properties:
				a.	Thickness 40 mils.
				b.	Tensile Strength 1200 psi minimum when tested in accordance with ASTM D 412.
				c.	Elongation: 200 percent minimum when tested in accordance with ASTM D 412.
				d.	Pliability: Pass at minus 25 degrees F over a 1/4 inch mandrel. when tested in accordance with ASTM D 146.
				e.	Pleel Adhesion: 5 lbs/inch minimum when tested in accordance with ASTM D 903.
				f.	Puncture Resistance: 40 lbs minimum when tested in accordance with ASTM E 154.
			2.	Roll width:
				a.	12 inches (305 mm).
				b.	16 inches (406 mm).

	PART 3	EXECUTION
	3.1	EXAMINATION
		A.	Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
		B.	Verify masonry surfaces to receive through-wall flashings are smooth, free of loose materials, and properly sloped to provide drainage.
		C.	If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
	3.2	PREPARATION
		A.	Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
		B.	Coordinate installation of flashings with erection of masonry walls to ensure material is provided in timely manner for embedment in mortar joints.
		C.	Coordinate installation of flashings with installation of clay roof tiles to ensure material is provided in timely manner for attachment to roof substrate.
		D.	Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
	3.3	INSTALLATION
		A.	Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
		B.	Fit flashings tight in place. Make corners square, surfaces true and straight in planes, and lines accurate to profiles.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select one or all of the following three paragraph as required for flashing applications. Delete applications not required. Edit to reflect project conditions as required.
		C.	Install copper flashings at all:
			1.	Foundation sills.
			2.	Window and door sills and heads.
			3.	Spandrels.
			4.	Parapets.
			5.	Through-wall conditions.
			6.	At locations as indicated on Drawings.
		D.	Install plastic flashings at all:
			1.	Foundation sills.
			2.	Parapets.
			3.	Through-wall conditions.
			4.	At locations as indicated on Drawings.
		E.	Install rubberized asphalt flashing at:
			1.	Cavity walls.
			2.	At locations as indicated on Drawings.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select the following paragraph as required for the flashing at masonry applications. Delete applications not required. Edit to reflect project conditions as required. Note that Cavity wall moisture protection is intended for use with Peel-N-Seal rubberized asphalt flashing only.
		F.	Masonry applications:
			1.	Horizontal masonry joint flashing:
				a.	Lay in slurry of fresh mortar and top with full mortar bed.
				b.	Continue flashing through wall. Leave exposed at exterior for inspection.
				c.	After inspection, cut flush with masonry surface.
			2.	Vertical masonry surfaces:
				a.	Spot surface with mastic to hold in place until masonry is set.
				b.	Secure flashing in back wall mortar joint or reglet.
			3.	Foundation sill flashing:
				a.	Lay in slurry of fresh mortar and top with full mortar bed.
				b.	Leave flashing flush with exterior masonry surface.
				c.	On inside turn up flashing 2 inches (51 mm) minimum or continue flashing upward across cavity 6 inches (152 mm) minimum and secure in back wall mortar joint or reglet.
				d.	At sill and column intersections, extend flashing up column 10 inches (254 mm) and secure with mastic and termination bar.
			4.	Cavity wall flashing:
				a.	Lay in slurry of fresh mortar and top with full mortar bed.
				b.	Leave flashing flush with exterior masonry surface.
				c.	Continue flashing upward across cavity 6 inches (152 mm) minimum and secure in back wall mortar joint or reglet.
			5.	Cavity wall moisture protection:
				a.	Surfaces must be clean and dry. For best results, concrete, masonry and some exterior gypsum substrates require priming with Primer Seal.
				b.	Apply Primer Seal by spray, brush or with a long nap roller at 250 to 350 SF per gallon. At 75 degrees F allow primer to dry 1-hour minimum. Prime only areas to be waterproofed the same day, reprime if area becomes dirty.
				c.	Precut Peel-N-Seal to fit each location. Remove siliconized release liner and position membrane carefully before pressing in place. Press firmly in place with a steel hand roller, taking care to avoid air pockets and wrinkles. Overlap adjoining pieces 2 inches (51 mm). Cut bottom edge back 1/2 inch (12.5 mm) from exterior surface of building.
				d.	Press termination edges firmly in place with a hammer handle or similar tool. The use of a surface mounted termination bar or placing the flashing membrane into a joint of the inner back up wall is recommended for vertical terminations. Horizontal terminations at end dams require a minimum 2-inch turn up of membrane to form a tray.
			6.	Spandrel flashing:
				a.	Start flashing at shelf angle toe, continue up beam, turn through wall, and turn up 2 inches (51 mm) minimum on inside.
			7.	Parapet and coping flashings:
				a.	Lay in slurry of fresh mortar and top with full mortar bed.
				b.	Leave flashing flush with exterior and interior masonry surfaces.
			8.	Head and sill flashings:
				a.	Start flashing flush with exterior wall surface or lintel and continue through or up wall.
				b.	Extend flashing 6 inches (152 mm) on each side of opening and turn up forming pan.
				c.	Fold corners; do not cut.
				d.	Pre-formed end dams are recommended.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select the following paragraph as required for flashing at frame construction applications. Delete if not applicable. Edit to reflect project conditions as required.
		G.	Frame construction applications:
			1.	Sill flashings and termite guards:
				a.	Lay flashing in coating of mastic with metal face down.
				b.	Extend 2 inches (51 mm) on both side of foundation wall.
				c.	Where pierced by anchor bolts, seal with mastic.
			2.	Head flashing:
				a.	Extend 4 inches (102 mm) above trim and behind sheathing or sheathing paper.
				b.	Turn flashing down over drip cap edge.
				c.	Extend flashing 6 inches (152 mm) beyond each side of opening.
			3.	Sill flashing:
				a.	Secure to back of wood sill.
				b.	Carry downward over sheathing and secure to sill plate.
				c.	Carry beyond opening and form pan by folding. Do not cut.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select the following paragraph as required for flashing at frame construction applications. Delete if not applicable. Edit to reflect project conditions as required.
		H.	Tile Roof Applications:
			1.	Ensure substrate is dry, smooth, and free of loose material.
			2.	Use maximum width material.
			3.	Lay material with metal face down.
		I.	Lap joints:
			1.	Coat contacting surfaces with mastic and lap 4 inches (102 mm) minimum.
			2.	Roll with hand roller until mastic bead appears at edges.
			3.	Remove excess mastic.
	3.4	FIELD QUALITY CONTROL
		A.	Inspect flashing work during installation as follows:
		B.	Verify flashings have been properly installed at all required locations to prevent water penetration.
		C.	Verify weep holes have been provided to ensure proper drainage to exterior.
		D.	Water test flashings at minimum of 3 locations designated by Architect to verify flashing has been properly installed and moisture drains through weep holes.
		E.	Trim exposed flashings flush with masonry surface.
	3.5	PROTECTION
		A.	Protect installed products until completion of project.
		B.	Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
