          1.4SUBMITTALS
 
          A.Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
 
          B.[ Product Data ]: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
          1.Preparation instructions and recommendations.
          2.Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
          3.Installation methods.

          C.Verification Samples: For each product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square or 6 inches (150 mm) long, representing actual product, material, and finish.
 
          1.5QUALITY ASSURANCE
 
          A.Manufacturer Qualifications: Minimum five year manufacturing experience and capability for design, engineering and technical assistance for the selection, application, and installation of appropriate flashing systems for the project.
 
          B.Installer Qualifications: Experienced in the proper use and installation of flashing systems, including coordination with wall assembly components.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.
 
          C.Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.
          1.Finish areas designated by Architect.
          2.Do not proceed with remaining work until workmanship, color, and sheen are approved by Architect.
          3.Refinish mock-up area as required to produce acceptable work.
 
          1.6DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
 
          A.Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
 
          B.Store and dispose of solvent-based materials, and materials used with solvent-based materials, in accordance with requirements of local authorities having jurisdiction.
 
          1.7PROJECT CONDITIONS
 
          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

          2.Ultimate Elongation: 25 percent.
          3.Shore A Hardness: 83 per ASTM D 2240.
          4.Corners and End Dams: Preformed.
 
          B.Termination Bars and Reglets:

          1.Termination Bars: AISI Type 304, ASTM A 666 Stainless Steel. Predrilled 1/4 inch (6 mm) holes on 8 inches (203 mm) centers.
          2.Reglets: Concrete and masonry reglets, extruded PVC profiles provided with strippable closure strip.
          3.Reglets: Metal reglets, 24 gage type 304 stainless steel with foam filled closure strip.
 
          C.Drip Plates:
          1.Fabrication: Suitable lengths with hemmed exposed edge and provided with inside and outside factory fabricated corners.

          D.Relief Angle Compressible Filler: Neoprene foam filler strip placed below relief angle.
 
          PART 3EXECUTION
 
          3.1EXAMINATION
 
          A.Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
 
          B.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
 
          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
 
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
 
          3.4PROTECTION
 
          A.Protect installed products until completion of project.
 
          B.Touch-up, repair or replace damaged Work before proceeding with construction on or concealing work.
