	PART 3	EXECUTION
	3.1	EXAMINATION
		A.	Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
		B.	If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
	3.2	PREPARATION
		A.	Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
		B.	Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
	3.3	INSTALLATION
		A.	Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
		B.	Pitch gutters so water completely drains into outlets as located on the Contract Drawings.
		C.	Provide at least 1/2 inch (13mm) of drop for every 20 feet (610mm) of run.
		D.	Do not fasten through finished roof. If the roof installation is the responsibility of another installer, coordinate installation with Section 07310 to eliminate damage to the gutter and roof.
	3.4	CLEANING AND PROTECTION
		A.	Protect installed products until completion of project.
		B.	Do not place ladders directly on the gutters. Install standoffs on all ladders prior to performing any Work.
		C.	Replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
		D.	Remove all debris prior to project closeout.
