	1.4	SUBMITTALS
		A.	Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
		B.	Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
			1.	Preparation instructions and recommendations.
			2.	Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
			3.	Installation methods.

		C.	LEED Submittals: Provide documentation of how the requirements of Credit will be met:

	1.5	QUALITY ASSURANCE
		A.	Manufacturer Qualifications: Manufacturer with a minimum of 3 years documented experience in the manufacture of construction sealants.
		B.	Pre-Application Meeting: Convene a pre-application meeting two weeks before the start of installation of wall systems. Require attendance of parties directly affecting work of this section, including the Contractor, wall system contractor, sealant applicator and manufacturer's representative. Review the surface preparation, application, cleaning, protection and coordination with other work.
	1.6	DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
		A.	Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
		B.	Store materials in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.
			1.	Store materials in dry, enclosed area with adequate protection from moisture.
			2.	Keep containers sealed until ready for use.
			3.	Storage Temperature: 40 degrees F (4.4 degrees C) and 100 degrees F (37.7 degrees C). Do not permit freezing.
	1.7	SEQUENCING
		A.	Ensure that products of this section are supplied to affected trades in time to prevent interruption of construction progress.
	1.8	PROJECT CONDITIONS
		A.	Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.

	2.2	APPLICATIONS/SCOPE

		B.	Provide Acrylic Urethane Sealant for sealing around exterior window and door frames, sill plates, electrical and plumbing penetrations , and other areas as indicated on the Drawings.
		C.	Provide Construction Silicone Sealant for non-porous building materials such as glass, metal, plastics and other areas as indicated on the Drawings.
		D.	Provide Multi-Purpose Silicone Sealant for use on vinyl (PVC) siding and windows, applications involving non-porous and porous building materials and other areas as indicated on the Drawings.
		E.	Provide Window, Siding Sealant for windows, siding, gutter and roof applications and other areas as indicated on the Drawings.
		F.	Provide Roofing and Flashing Sealant for use with roofing and flashing as indicated on the Drawings.

	PART 3	EXECUTION
	3.1	EXAMINATION
		A.	Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
		B.	Verify substrate surfaces are ready to receive work.
		C.	If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
	3.2	PREPARATION
		A.	Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
		B.	Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
		C.	Concrete or block walls must be well cured, dry and free of any release agents.
	3.3	INSTALLATION
		A.	Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
		B.	Apply sealant within recommended application temperature ranges. Consult manufacturer when sealant cannot be applied within these temperature ranges.
	3.4	CLEANING
		A.	Clean adjacent soiled surfaces.
	3.5	PROTECTION
		A.	Protect installed products until completion of project.
		B.	Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
