	1.4	PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS.
		A.	Air infiltration shall not exceed 0.30 cfm/ft2 (1.5 L/s m2) when tested at 1.57 psf (75 Pa) according to ASTM E 283.
		B.	No water penetration when tested at the following pressure according to ASTM E 547.
		C.	Structural Load Testing: Product shall meet the damaged and permanent deflection pass/fail criteria as stated in AAMA/NWWDA 101/I.S.2 or AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101 I.S.2/A440 when tested in accordance with ASTM E 330.
	1.5	SUBMITTALS
		A.	Shop Drawings: Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
		B.	Product Data: Submit manufacturer's product catalog data and installation guides.
		C.	Samples: Submit samples including the following:
			1.	Corner Cutaway: Submit corner cutaway, including glazing system, quality of construction and specified exterior/interior finishes.
			2.	Exterior: Submit two complete sets of color samples with specified exterior finish representing manufacturer's full range of available colors.
			3.	Hardware: Submit samples indicating typical hardware finishes.
		D.	Quality control reporting: submit manufacturer's test results reported by independent laboratory indicating compliance with specified performance and design requirements, as listed in Performance Requirements.
	1.6	QUALITY ASSURANCE
		A.	Manufacturer Qualifications: Manufacturer capable of fabricating wood doors that meet or exceed performance requirements indicated and of documenting this performance by inclusion in lists and by labels, test reports, and calculations.
		B.	Single Source Responsibility: Except for hardware mechanisms and aluminum extrusions, the window manufacturer is responsible for fabrication of all components and materials including treatment of wood with acceptable wood preservatives, millwork of sash and frame members, assembly of most insulating glass, weather strip and manufacture of all sash and frames.
		C.	Installer Qualifications: Installer acceptable to wood door manufacturer for installation of units required for this Project.
		D.	Product Requirements:
			1.	Comply with AAMA/WDMA 101/I.S.2/NAFS, "North American Fenestration Standard Voluntary Performance Specification for Windows, Skylights and Glass Doors," for definitions and minimum standards of performance, materials, components, accessories, and fabrication unless more stringent requirements are indicated.
			2.	Comply with published recommendations of glass manufacturers and with GANA's "Glazing Manual" unless more stringent requirements are indicated.
		E.	Regulatory Requirements:
			1.	Emergency Escape and Rescue: Comply with code requirements for sleeping units.
	1.7	PRODUCT DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS
		A.	Deliver products in manufacturer's unopened packaging, in compliance with manufacturer and project delivery requirements.
	1.8	PRODUCT STORAGE AND HANDLING REQUIREMENTS
		A.	Mark each door on top and bottom edge with opening number used on Shop Drawings.
		B.	Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging in an upright position off the ground in a clean, dry location, under cover, protected from weather and construction activities until ready for installation and in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations.
		C.	Prime or seal wood surfaces if more that 30 days between delivery and installation.
	1.9	PROJECT CONDITIONS
		A.	Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.
	1.10	WARRANTY

	2.7	FABRICATION

	PART 3	EXECUTION
	3.1	EXAMINATION
		A.	Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
		B.	If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
	3.2	INSTALLATION
		A.	Install doors according to manufacturer's instructions and reviewed shop drawings to ensure proper installation and operation.
		B.	Install door unit plumb, level and square with no distortion of frame members.
		C.	Fill perimeter frame to wall opening cavity with insulation.
		D.	Apply approved sealant in accordance with Section 07 90 00 - Joint Protection.
		E.	Do not puncture aluminum cladding.
	3.3	ADJUSTING AND CLEANING
		A.	Adjust operating sash and hardware to provide tight fit at contact points and at the weather stripping for smooth operation.
		B.	Remove excess sealant materials and visible labels from glass. Clean glass surfaces promptly after installation. Refer to manufacturer's care and maintenance manual.
		C.	Initiate and maintain all protection and other precautions required to ensure doors are in acceptable condition at time of substantial completion.
