          4.Bottom Bar: Extruded aluminum members incorporate a spring away system which releases the curtain and bottom bar from the guides upon impact and can be reattached by one person. Reattachment of the bottom bar to the guides is performed at floor level. Microswitches at each end of the bar stop the motor and activate alarm mode when a break out condition exists. Bottom bar includes a four wire, fail safe electric sensing edge that is black/yellow striped.
          5.Guides: Clear anodized, extruded architectural aluminum guide channel with ultra high molecular weight polyethylene retainer strip and black painted continuous structural steel angles create front and rear channels to help protect the guides from damage. Complete guide assembly with photo electric sensors are factory pre-assembled.
          6.Operator: Modular chain drive, gear motor/brake assembly. Operator, drive assembly and limit switches factory preassembled and installed. All low voltage wiring will be through factory provided "quick connect" wiring harnesses.

          3.Bottom Bar: Extruded aluminum members incorporates a spring away system that releases the curtain and bottom bar from the guides upon impact and can be reattached by one person. Reattachment of the bottom bar to the guides is performed at floor level. Microswitches at each end of the bar stop the motor and activate alarm mode when a break out condition exists.           3.1EXAMINATION

          C.If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
 
          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
 
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
 
          B.Use anchorage devices to securely fasten assembly to wall construction and building framing without distortion or stress.
 
          C.Securely and rigidly brace components suspended from structure. Secure guides to structural members only.
 
          D.Fit and align assembly including hardware; level and plumb, to provide smooth operation.
