A.
System OS2 as manufactured by Brombal USA and distributed exclusively by Steel Windows and Doors USA.
1.
OS2 system is equipped with a 1-13/16 inches (46 mm) lateral and a 2-7/16 inches (62 mm) central section, made with thermal break profiles - integrated with a complete range of system accessories - as required for the range of openings scheduled or indicated.
a.
Thermally insulated integrated system of profiles, accessories and gaskets with visible section of 46 mm (lateral section) and 62 mm (central section) suitable for rectangular, trapezoidal, arched shaped double leafed doors and windows for door and window with or without fixed side light.
b.
The metal profiles that make up the system shall be 15/10 mm thick and are obtained from the cold-forming of the coils in the materials specified.
c.
The thermal break connection inside the section shall be high density polyurethane resin, injected at high pressure. The connection is continuous, without interruptions, guaranteeing maximum resilience to torsional and bending stress.
d.
The assembly of the frame profiles shall be connected by welding together the sections and ground down neatly and finished, or by combining mechanical assembly and internal welding that does not require the retouching of the finish.
e.
Glazing Capability: 1-3/16 inch (30 mm) maximum. The system permits use of double or triple thermal insulated glazing with single or stratified glass (security glass).

2.3
MATERIALS
 
** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Important features of galvanized steel are: an elastic modulus 3 times higher and thermal conductivity 4 times lower than aluminum alloys. Large rolls or coils of steel are first treated with a hot dipped galvanizing process utilizing the Sendzimir system, this coating of zinc on both sides ensures ultimate protection against corrosive agents. The resulting product is then sent thorough a series of rollers to produce shapes used for our section profiles while maintaining the galvanized coating.

Material: Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel:

Alloy: FeP02 with a GZ200 hot zinc coating (equivalent to 200 gr/sqm on both sides) that protect the profile from oxidation both on the inside and outside face.

A high-resistance self-passivating alloy containing copper, chrome and phosphorus, characterized by a high resistance to corrosion and to tensile yield; the alloys are self-protective through the formation of a superficial coating that prevents the progression of the corrosion process.

The typical feature of this alloy is to naturally oxidize when in contact with air, while keeping unchanged its physical features, to obtain that particular antique bronze finishing that makes it ideal for prestigious refurbishment of historical buildings and for new, high-level buildings with a look that joins elegance with tradition.
